Photopass CD for $99

hey Brad,
I checked out your above link to stitch kingdom and wanted to let you know we did the CRT add on to the photopass but we also were able to add Chef Mickeys, this was in March of 2007.

I need some clarification... So you can request the CRT pictures be added to your photopass? Does this cost more? And it also worked for adding on other character meal pics? TIA!

I think you can go to one of the photopass places with your card and if you know the date and approximate time the pics were taken, they can search them and add them to your photopass. I am pretty sure this is true. Hope it helps!

Just a quick question that I couldn't find an answer to among the info. If you prepurchase the cd, can you add the borders and characters to the pics after you get home or is that something you have to do before they burn the cd at DW?? TIA!

i haven't gotten to finish that part in my primer, but actually you CAN'T add enhancements/borders to photos for the CD in the park. only for prints. you MUST do it online if you want the enhancements on the CD.

yes, i'm not sure if i was clear enough? you must purchase the photo package. the 8x10 has a code on it (beginning with EVNT) that acts just like another photopass card that you add in. at CRT, the photo package is included in the price of dining, so you don't need to pay anything extra.

the full list as per disney is:
Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom® Park
(photos included with meal price)
Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus; Norway in Epcot®
Restaurantosauras at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disneys Polynesian Resort
 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort
Mickey's Backyard Barbecue and the Hoop Dee Doo Musical
Revue Dinner show at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Ok, I'm going to WDW in less than 3 weeks, and then we are going back in November. Would I be able to combine the pictures from both trips on 1 cd and then order it in November? I would love to preorder it for $100 but I don't want to do it twice. It would be a great deal if I could combine the pictures from both trips.

as others have mentioned, probably not. you have 30 days to enter the cards into the photopass account and from that time, you have another 30 days before photos get deleted. so you have a maximum of 2 months. you can try requesting an extension (i've gotten another month out of that), but it's not something i'd count on.

You both should read bradk's photopass website, I think the link is in his post about 5 posts back. It's really good, and where I got the info to answer your questions! Good Luck with your trip, only 2 days?!?! I've got 40!

thankya :) http://www.stitchkingdom.com/photopass

bradk - can I wait and go to the parks 1st and see how many pictures we take with photopass? Then before we leave (or when we get home) pay for the cd online for the $100 with the code, and then order it once we are home? I'm not sure we want a photo cd unless we have lots of pictures taken.
Thanks.
. . .
I was referring to the $100 promotional rate that bradk provided a link for. Disney's instructions to get the $100 price (a 20% off coupon) say that you must pre-pay before your vacation. I want to know if I can "pre-pay" once we've started our vacation.

Bradk - Can you address this? I know it would be a stretch to do this, but I thought maybe you would know the answer.

i thought it was answered, sorry. i'm not entirely clear on when you have to order the CD by. in theory, they're able to tell which photos were taken before and after you've ordered it. i doubt they hold that against you, but i wouldn't really take the chance.

if you look at the bottom of the pre-order page, it explains the satisfaction guarantee. you have 2 weeks after returning to decide if you still want the cd. if not, you can get your money back as long as the coupon isn't used.

Bradk:

My DH & DD are doing Dolphins in Depth, which comes with a photo, but would we be able to get this on our photopass also since we have already pre-purchased our CD? I thought maybe they would take a number of pictures and if we could get it on our CD we could then choose.

Thanks for your help with this.

i don't personally know, sorry.. haven't heard anything about the tour photos being on photopass. i'd presume not. i don't see any reference of the two together.

Thanks. I think if no one can say for sure, then we won't risk it.

I have had good luck using the same card on multiple trips. I went last May two times and used the same card again in August. The May photos were still on my account when I bought the CD after the August trip even though I could no longer access them online before the August trip. Then I went in Dec with the same card and the August photos were still there again. BUT...if the photos from the first trip were really good I don't know if I would risk not buying the CD then.

Good luck!:wizard:

Does anyone know if I will be able to use the PhotoPass at Hoop De Do revue?
:jumping1: :confused3

Wondering if this will work?

I pre-ordered the CD. Our first pic was taken September 2. I have not yet claimed them online.

We have another trip October 5 -12.

Would I be able to claim the first card by October 1 (within 30 days) and then add the second card on return from the second trip, say October 13.
Edit as needed and then make one purchase.

Yes, you can definitely do this! I combined a Thanksgiving DL & a XMAS WDW trip in this way.

HELP!!! I think I just messed up!!
I leave for WDW in 1 day, and I just went to the photopass site to pre-order my cd. I thought I was supposed to go ahead an send in my cc info, and could then request the cd to be printed when I get home.
After completing my order and checking out I got an email saying that my order had been SHIPPED!
Was I not supposed to complete the check out process? I've sent an email to the photopass customer service, but their response message says someone should get back with me within 5 business days!!! I'll be in WDW then!
Have I screwed up my account??? Does anyone have a phone number for the photopass customer service?
***SIGH*** this is what I get for doing this right after waking up!:surfweb:

Relax granola! It's too early to be panicking! You did everything correctly. Evidently, the system is set to automatically send that message out. I got it too. As long as you got your secret code, you are all set. Have fun on your trip! We leave in 8 days!

I too got that "shipped" email. I think it just means they shipped you your instructions on how to get the CD when you get home.

Have a great trip and get lots of photos taken!:thumbsup2

WHEW!:thanks:

Have a great trip. Let me give a little tip about the character connection at Epcot. I'm sure it will a lot less crowded when you go then when I was there in late August but just in case.....

The character connection is where you can see lots of characters. You wait in line and then just move from character to character without really waiting in line again. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Pluto & Goofy.

We tried to go the character connection on afternoon and it looked like about an hour wait=the line was out the door. Then next time we were in Epcot my DH went to get fast passes for Soarin' while I took the kids to see the characters right at 9am when it opened with virtually no wait.

Have a great time!!!!!!

All you need to do is keep the code that they sent you. Once you get home, go online and you have gotten the CD the way you want it, you click on purchase cd and go through the address part, etc. There will be a box to enter your code. Once you enter this the invoice is 0.00

One word of warning, if you can try to spend some time at a computer in the photo pass area at one of the parks to view and edit / add things to your pictures. There are many things you can add while still at the park, but once you get home (like I did) there are only 4 borders you can add. I was very disappointed to find out I did not have the options that were there at Disney like signatures and such. I did not realize I needed to do the editing at the park.

I still ended up with 117 pictures after adding borders to them.:)

Have fun and seek out as many photo pass people that you can find. We found many at MK and not so much at the other 3 parks. Epcot and MGM were very hard to find a person for pictures.

Good Luck!!!:thumbsup2

Only if you purchase the package that night, then they will add it to the photopass. We found this with all the shows and character meals. We were not given an option to add our CRT photo to the photopass either, or my DD's dolphins in depth. You just got the one photo as promised.:sad2:

Are you sure you can do that? I didn't think they would let you add the borders at the parks for anything other than buying prints at the parks. BUT....I haven't asked about that since May 2006 when you could NOT add borders to your CD photos.

For my August 2007 photos I often had signatures available to add to my photos but I think if you did it at the parks you can add more than 1 border and they can resize the resize the borders for you also. I would have a photo of Mickey and Donald and both signatures were available but you could only add 1 of them. You also couldn't change where the signature would appear. So both Mickey and Donald's signature would appear (only 1 at a time) under Donald. I think if I could have done it at the park I could have had both and they could have placed the signatures in the correct places.

I had 369 photos-150 or so were 2 other friends and 200+ were mine. I had 1,369 after adding borders. It was a VERY time consuming process as the site got slower and slower the more I added. I haven't ordered my CD yet as I think a few photos are missing and I filled out the online form for them to search for them.

When I went in May 2007 I had about 100 photos taken and had over 400 with the boders. The photos came on 2 CDs but I only paid the 1 CD price.
