PHOTOPASS Card is NOT MINE! THEY GAVE ME BACK WRONG ONE!!!

Our grand gathering used/gathered several photopass cards this trip.

Well, one from MK is NOT OURS, it is of another family (who likely has MINE!! I could CRY!)
I was in and out of MK on several days and specifically recall a CM on Main Street one day that appeared a bit overwhelmed. I am so sure she is the one who accidentally gave us the wrong one back.


IS there ANY HELP for me to both locate this other family AND maybe get our pictures????? WHAT a disappointment after a 12 day trip!!! I am so sad.

The other family group:
They all appear to be fair skinned.
This other family was three women, one with a lime green shirt with an e on the front, waist pouch, light colored baseball cap and holding dark sunglasses.
She appears to be 60's. Also two other women (I think the group is a mom, maybe a grandma (or 2) or an aunt and then a teen boy and teen girl). They took GREAT photo's too!!!
Mom in center is wearing white tank with red trim, denim shorts and waist pouch.
Woman to left was tie dye brownish Mickey T, teal waist pack, denim shorts also holding sunglasses, teal visor.
All three women are blondish color/light hair, short cuts!
Two teens, Girl has brown hair pulled back a dark T that has bright lettering that says something like" OHHHH...." She appears to have a strap which leads me to believe she carried a backpack or sack on her back.
The teen boy is Tall and wore a Green Day T shirt, green (?) plaid hat/baseball style cap and maybe plaid/stripe shorts, light color.
They were pix taken at MK, on Main Street with castle in background. Even with TINK in it. They are so good!!
I cannot believe that they won't get them. I only activated the photopass today so I have till 9/26!
I want our photo's!!!!!

DOES anyone know what or how or ANYTHING there is that I can do to get these to this family and OURS back??
I wish there was more to describe, I see no lanyards or passes on them......
OH, Please can anyone help us out???????

Once I had some random pictures show up on my photopass and I was missing pictures we'd had taken. I just reported it to photopass with the date and approximate time of the pictures with a description and they were able to find the photos. Not sure they found the family that had pics in my account but I'm sure they'll be able to find the ones that were on your old pass.

Do the photopasses have numbers on them? Maybe a good idea for the future would be to take a photo of the pass just in case it is lost or mixed up.

hmm..is there a number you can call (photopass related) and maybe they keep track of this, so if the other people call, they can cross reference?

Did you write down the photopass card ID number from your card? If so, just enter that card ID number. If not..

Contact photopass (I got better and faster results by email than phone), include one of the card ID numbers of your group so they can see your group. Tell them when you were at MK, the hours too. Tell them when you might have taken a specific picture, where, who is in it, what people might have worn if you can remember that. Get as specific as possible. If they can find one picture from that card, then they can know what card ID number it's from, and then you'd have success.


I can see where the lime green shirt on the stranger could cause you to think of the Dis, and I think it's so nice of you to try to get their card back to them, but beyond that, you should try hard to focus on your own pictures, so you can have your own pictures.


And for others, write down your card ID number(s) and/or take a clear digital picture of it, so actually having the physical card isn't important when it comes to claiming your pictures!

Like bumbershoot said, there is a place on the photopass site to report problems, describe photos, and they will try to locate them. Good luck to you! There were some photos missing from our trip, and I knew the exact time, date, location, and what they were wearing, but they could not be recovered.

Relax.....breathe. Yes you CAN get these pics back. all you need to be able to do is remember a time and location for a single photo taken on that card.

If the CM's can locate a single photo they can see the card # and bring up the rest.

We had this happen on our trip and everything worked out OK. It's frustrating yes but it will be OK

Yes, you can get your photos back... don't worry. The other family will probably be doing the same thing as you.

Call or email. Give them specifics of the pictures that were on that card. Like when you first got your card, what park/what people were wearing/time/location. How many days did you have the card? How many other parks are on that card. If you have pictures of say with Mickey Mouse at Epcot, and you took the same exact photo on your camera, look up the time and date stamp. Don't forget about time zone changes. Once they find one previous photo tagged with your original number, they type in the original number and pull up all the photos on it. They might reassign it to a new number and give you that number with just your photos on it, and then you can plug it into your account to see your family's photos.

It does happen. And same exact cards are hard to keep track of. I think I did it on occasion in my life time. But it's easily fixable.

2 key words of advice:
1 - Take a picture of the back of your card or write it down. All you need is the number and those photos can be reassigned a new number. Don't just put your email address or name and number on the card... because they can just as easily be tossed in the trash can.
2 - Check before you leave the World. It is so much easier for photopass to deal with the situation right then and there, rather than over the phone/email. Or check daily to make sure all photos have uploaded correctly. PDA problems do happen and it'll loose the number tagged to the photo before uploading. (and if photos are missing, CM's from that park can let you know if there were any issues or if your pictures are still sitting on a PDA, CM's don't know what happens from park to park) It's always easier to remember what happened that day, rather than later that week or once you get home. Cause things tend to become a blurr after that. People have a hard time remembering what they wore, what parks they visited, when they took the pictures.

I hope the other family does the same!!
Meanwhile, lesson learned....I will now be taking a picture of the photo pass card each time, if we get more than one. We were at the world 12 days so days blurred, but I did journal and I did take Tons of my own pix too, SO, I am hoping I can track down MK days and maybe even what we wore!

This will be my Newest suggestion to everyone, take a photo or write down the number of photopass card!. Wish I had read that before the trip!
