Photopass before upgrading to AP's?

We plan to upgrade to AP's on this trip, but probably not right away (I want to rope drop MK on day 1 and not waste morning time upgrading the tickets)

If we have any pictures taken will we still be able to download them when we get to upgrading? Or will they not be included?

Just trying to figure out if I should hit a park on arrival day and get the AP upgrades done or if it can wait.

I wouldn't "bank" on it, but when I got my AP (that included photopass/memory maker) a previous trip that was fairly recent was still there and I was able to download those pictures.

You should be able to download those pics from the day before you get the AP.

However you don't have to go to a park to upgrade to the AP. Since you want to rope drop MK for your first park day, if by any chance you have time the day/night before, you can go to Disney Springs and upgrade to the AP. Their guest service is exactly like those at the parks and you can take care of everything there instead of doing it at the park

I got pictures taken just before I upgraded (a few hours before upgrading) and those photos were available to me (that said, it's possible they would only be available for the 45 days and not the whole year, but should definitely be there long enough for you to grab them). I was going to check for you but the photopass website only works for me about half the time and apparently now is one of the times it's not working.

I guess we'll try to upgrade the night we arrive. Maybe we can hit Epcot for a few hours. (we can upgrade at any park right? I'm pretty sure we did it at MK and DHS a couple years ago..)

I renewed our APs to the Gold Pass on 5/10 and all pictures from as far back as Nov 2015 were available again to download. Even pictures of a connected friend (does not have an AP) that had already expired off her account are available for me to download.

Yeah I wouldn't worry. When we got our AP April my PP still shows pictures of my October 2015 trip.
