My question is about the PhotoPass + specifically. I understand to redeem the voucher that was mailed to me, I have to visit the camera shops inside Disneyland or California Adventure; my question is, is it possible for me to be escorted by a cast member to one of these stores to redeem my voucher the day BEFORE my visit? The reason I ask, is the first day in the parks for my family and I, we have Magic Morning passes, and the camera shops won't be open. I'd hate to lose a whole hour of photo opportunities to wait for the shop to open. :headache:

We arrive Wednesday afternoon, and we plan to spend that evening playing around in Downtown Disney

Thursday morning we have Magic Morning passes, AND Breakfast with Minnie & Friends.

If I could get the PhotoPass+ card the night before we all go inside the parks that would be ideal. I'm just wondering if that's even possible? :confused3 Has someone done this already?

Thanks for the awesome responses in advance! :thumbsup2

I was in the same situation and my DH thought I was ridiculous for thinking to ask to get in the night before for this purpose. For fear of embarassing him, I didn't - but please let me know if you try and have luck!

I ended up just getting the regular Photopass cards for pictures taken before I turned in my voucher (at Cars Land sign, with Chip & Dale, etc.). RSR was down that morning so I didn't have a ride photo to worry about - but if it was up, my plan was to write down the ride photo # and go back later after I turned in my voucher. A pain to backtrack - I know - but I didn't want to waste that early hour in the shop...

If you want to redeem it the night before, you should be able to at Goofy's Kitchen in DLH at the very least.
I do not believe they allow CM's to escort non-ticketed guests into the park for certain instances...

I tried that and was told I couldn't redeem there because they don't have the lanyards with the PP+ cards. It may have been just that day - and if you are there anyway it is worth asking.

Hopefully they are allowing GK and others since this is the info from their FB page:

At the Disneyland Resort you may also purchase Disney PhotoPass+ at any of the following participating Disney PhotoPass+ Dining locations**:

Ariel’s Grotto

Disney’s PCH Grill

Plaza Inn

Goofy’s Kitchen

** Keep in mind that these Dining locations are open for limited hours, Call the location ahead of time to find out the hours of operation for the day you are planning on stopping by.

in the main photo pass + thread someone said they were NOT able to redeem and Guest services would escort you in to the photo shop. We'll be doing this in 3 weeks.

I have read a ton of people not being able to redeem their vouchers anywhere but the camera shops. I'll probably call Goofy's Kitchen before I walk all the walk over there to see if it's possible. Hopefully they work out all these kinks in redeeming your vouchers before we arrive!

Please keep me posted!

I think you can buy PP+ at GK - they were trying to sell it to the person behind me - but my guess - pure guess - is they would give them the free photo and a voucher like mine to exchange in the stores for the lanyard card (which you need for the ride photos). Or maybe for inventory purposes they have the lanyards for their sales but can't track exchanges They even went and asked a supervisor when I tried to exchange it - no luck :confused3

The camera shops will be open during MM and EMH. They are also open before rope drop.

Disneyland - it's called Photo Supply Co. It's on the right side, hub end of Main Street.

Disney California Adventure - it's called Kingswell Camera Shop. It's just past Beuna Vista Plaza the entrance area on the right. After Mortimer's Market and before the Hyperiod Bridge.
