Hi there,

I was wondering if there are any Digital Scrapbookers on here that have gotten the Photo Gallery CD or Photopass? I'm wondering what the quality of the pics are, and formats. Are they 300 dpi or higher? JPEG or TIFF or what? If they are really good quality I could see Photopass being GREAT for digital scrapbooking, but would like to know before I buy!

JPEGs I was a little surprised that they are small. About 1.25MB.

It actually depends on the sizes you pick when you order them. I think the default photo size is 4 x 6, so if you leave them at that size, then they will 4 x 6" at 300 dpi. However, if you set them up for a larger size, such as 8 x 10, then they will be that size at 300 dpi. I didn't realize this and left most of mine at 4 x 6 last year (with a few 5 x 7's). I was able to use them for digital scrapbooking and the quality turned out fine, but I think it would have been better if I had ordered them at 8 x 10. I'll probably order the ones without borders at 8 x 10 for our next trip.

Good to know! I would have ordered them at 4x6 as well. I will def select 8x10 to digiscrap our upcoming June trip.

I did use photopass pics in our last album... it was a 12x12 and even full page pics looked great. The program I use gives a warning when resolution isn't good enough for the size it is and I never saw that once.

So if I order the photo pass CD I can print them correct?

Yes. You can upload them from the disc just like you would from a memory card. There is even included a fancy release form regarding the pictures on the disc. Basically it says you can reuse them for anything as long as it's not a commercial venture.

Oh awesome,

Good to know!! Also fun to see other digiscrappers. Maybe we need a Disneyland Scrapbooker Thread to see each other's pages! ;)

We leave tomorrow! WOOT!

Just returned from our trip last week. Haven't yet ordered my photopass CD, but I will tell you I was disappointed in the Gallery CD that I purchased. I mainly got it to get the voucher for the free photopass CD, but the pictures are not really what I was hoping for. Lots of pictures of the monorail and because it is an older version of the CD, no WOC pictures.

Looking forward to using my pictures for my digital scrapbook though!!

Wazski, check out the thread over in the Creative Community on Scrapbooking. I just discovered it about a week ago. It is fabulous! I have used the photo pass CD before for digital scrapbooking and loved it. I just got ours back from out March trip and I'm looking forward to doing a little scrapin' this weekend.

There is some great info out there and great kits available all over the web if you search for disney digital scrapbooking.
