On a related note, i'm ticked off that my Photobucket account is full... I either need a new one, or upgrade the Photobucket Pro.

Sorry they're kinda big. xD

99% of my pictures are not edited....I personally hate over-edited pictures. I am getting a Nikon D90 for my birthday. :D
clicking the link will take you to my Flickr photostream. Feel free to add me

ive got you on flickr and as always love your photographs =)
but the real reason i replied was...
YOUR GETTING A D90!! lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gah I wish I could get a new dSLR, but mine's not too old (like three or four years). OKay thinking about that, this is a little on the old side in technology, especially cameras, but I need other things above a new dSLR. Hm...maybe I'll be able to use some of my (hopefully) grant money I get for college next year for a new camera, I think that would be education related as I'm probs majoring or minoring in photography...

check out my flickr too, link in my sig. I'll add to this thread soon, I've just gotta find my external hard drive...

awwwwh thanks your too kind:hug: i enjoy your photos as well.

i switch between a Canon Digital Rebal and a Canon D40...the D40 is my dads and i finally talked him into getting me a Nikon D90. The Digital Rebal is from like 2004-2005 and i cant do a lot of things that i would like to...like shutter and different exposures.

=) thanks

wait a Canon D40? or a Nikon D40? cuz Canon puts the letter behind the number. I know Nikon has the D40 though, not sure about Canon. I've a Rebel XTi from probably the same time frame. What do you mean it can't do shutter and different exposures? My Rebel does everything I need it to do (just not everything I want it to do). I really want the Canon Rebel T1i, but its wayy expensive...ugh money.

hahah its cool. ive never seen the 40D. i've seen the 50D and 5D. how old is it?
do you want to set the apature and having the camera set the shutter speed or the other way around (you set shutter speed, camera sets app)?

Nice photos everyone :)

I recently got a Canon Powershot A2100 IS. No DSLR, but I don't feel the need for one yet. I'm taking Photography for a new A Level this year, and they provide you with an SLR, so I think that's why I didn't choose one this year. It's still a pretty awesome camera. I love macro shots, and the does them very well.

I keep meaning to make a Flickr account, but keep forgetting. I should make one tomorrow, then add my new photos from WDW (when I go on Sunday :teeth: )

Great pictures, everyone!

Kelsey, I absolutely LOVE your pictures, they all feel really genuine to me. And I completely agree about editing. It really bothers me when pictures are edited, because I feel like then it's no longer being true to the moment, which photographs are all about for me. Capturing a moment truthfully.

thank you so much.:goodvibes
i feel after you raise the saturation high and the sharpness high the picture gets too noisey it takes away the purity of the art. IMHO.

George nice DOF in your first picture!:)

On the Rebel spin the dial on the top to Tv. That will allow you to set the shutter speed but have the camera set the aperture.

and on the topic of editing/processing photos...
IMO it depends on the photo, the effect your going for, and your style. My style leans more towards high contrast; however I do not make every photo high contrast. It depends on the individual image and the effect/meaning behind the photo. Same goes for any other processing I do to my photos. Take this one next one for example, its evident that I did a lot of processing on the photo. But it adds to the meaning in the photo.

But I do agree with over saturation and over sharpening of a photo can make it look, for lack of better word, fake. But that's just my thoughts on this subject...

Pearls I like your shots a lot! The last one in my favorite!

Thanks. I do wish it was focused on the end, instead of the middle though, but it was just a test run of my new camera, so it doesn't matter.

Your photos are amazing. I especially like this one.

Wow George, Madrid looks gorgeous!
Yeah, it was great there. I wish we spent more then 4 days there. On the last day, one of the teachers told me if we had more time, we could of explored the mountainous areas as well.

More photos from Madrid :p
