^Half Dome again, I think that this one is really cool because of the cloud around the side, you know? :)

That is all for now! I'll show more later if anybody wants to see anymore. :teeth:

imagineer4life- do u use a darkroom?

^ if u want more click that link:surfweb:

yes i do. because i believe that photography is more than just running around with a nice camera taking amateur photos. i dont have a digital SLR that you can control shutter spead and the F-stop, so i use my old pentax k 1000.

 i would use a darkroom but i dont have the money or the space for one.
great theory though:thumbsup2

imagineer4life...
really like the first picture.

question for you though...i'm not trying to start anything on here, but just wondering. could you clarify what you mean about the digital camera? i'm just unsure as your point. i totally agree that photography is more than just taking pictures. not any old person can pick up a camera, click the shutter and be all "im a photographer". it takes skill, which you and others here have. i was wondering what you meant by the end of it... :)

i use the dark room at my school? and my camera was 40 dollars. nothing even close to the 1000 dollar digital SLRs i would want to be using. or i think someone said they were using a powershot earlier? 40 dollars compared to how ever many 100's of dollars they spent on that..

its not a theory... its a fact, photography isnt just running around with a nice camera.. there are rules and you have to have a photographic eye.

i dont mean just a regular digital camera like a point and shoot. i mean a real deal SLR. the kind you see the famous photographers using for magazines and such.

oh im sorry it kind of looked like i was saying that stuff about you. i didnt mean you were just running around iwth a nice camera taking amateur pictures, your pictures are really good. you use the rule of thirds and the lighting and the focal point on your pictures are great.. im talking about people who think there great photographers just because they have a nice camera and they have taken close up of something.

Great pictures everyone!

I use a digital kodak and I don't look when I take most of my pictures. Most of mine are from ground point of view which I suggest, because you can get really neat pictures doing that.
I like not looking when I take pictures because I concentrate too hard, and sometimes the most spontaneous ones are the best. :goodvibes

We have a darkroom in our school but I've not used it yet since I'm not in photography yet.
I've been in there though, and it's pretty cool.

ahhhh kay gotcha gotcha now. i was confused for a sec, thought you were what some consider a purist and disbelieve in digital photography. but now i see what you were saying.
reading your other post...
you know what ironic...i've got a digital SLR (Canon Rebel XTi) and some lenses. but i can't afford to get a film camera. =) i'm stuck with borrowing from my school till i can purchase my own. on the bright side, i get to try different kinds of cameras. like right now i've got a Seagull out instead of a regular camera. tricky to figure out but i'm working on it. =)

oh no no i would love to use a digital. im stuck with a film camera, lol i hate not being able to see your pictures until after you develope them, but there is something very strangely relaxing and almost medicinal about being in a dark room. i love it.

you luckyyy i want a rebel. im entering a photography contest later this year and the first prize winner gets a rebel.. so im gonna work really hard to get a really great picture ready for it :)

well thank you

oh im jealous we use d40s sometimes in class for different projects. i eventually want a d90. they make them with 15 mega pixels now.. i cant even imagine what a picture would look like from a 15 mega pixel camera.

a D40!!! jeez girl. so jel! glad i found another Canon though! all of my photo friends are Nikon...
i just think Cannons take better quality photos but totally my Opinion

yeah yeah i feel you on the darkroom. im in photo class right now and it seems to take forever to get the final print. specally with about 45 minutes a day to work and easily ten others in the darkroom too. but i love it. watching the image show up on the paper in the developer seems like magic to me. =)
good luck on your contest! if you want any critiques, here for you. i'm no pro but i believe that critiquing helps not only the photographer, but the critiquer as well.

Everyone's pics are really nice!
Imagineer4life i love your non-digi ones! they're cuuute.
i use my dad's oooooold canon film cam all the time, i actually have a few films i need developped (better hurry up before they stop printing film @ wal mart lol) wish i had access to a dark room.
