Hi!! Just wanted to know how far in advance did you book your photography? I know that photographers like Misty and Randy are popular with everyone here (including myself, I love their work) and was curious, did you wait until you got the official date in stone from Disney to book? Thanks in advance!!!!

I booked with Randy before I got my date picked with Disney. I asked him what days he was already booked for the month I wanted and made sure not to pick those days with Disney. Randy told me if he could change days if I had to for Disney and if he was already booked, then he would refund the deposit. I figured he was so popular and there are so many weddings, I wanted to make sure I got him!

I booked 9 months out with Misty Miotto when I got my date from Disney.

I booked Randy like a year in advance lol. He will change your date for you if you don't get the date you are penciled in for.

I reserved the Roots before I had the date - there was no way I was letting them get away!

I booked Randy about 18 months out! He will refund your deposit if you don't get your day with Disney or do another day if he is free.

I was thinking about this too, because i think we may choose Misty, and im guessing we will have to book her when it gets nearer to Nov and we have the money for a deposit so we can definately have her.

I called the Roots and found out what dates they had open, then I called Disney with those dates. My pics are most important to me so I wanted to work around when they had open.

I started talking to Randy in January and sent our contract in sometime in march. We didn't get our date until September.

Like lots have said already, Randy is really flexable. We booked him before we got our date too.

We booked Randy before our date was confirmed with Disney. Luckily Randy and Disney had my date available so it worked out.

We are currently in the process of booking with Misty and won't be booking with Disney until April-ish. Like Randy, she's very flexible with the date. If we can't get our date with Disney we can switch to a date they are both available!

We met with our photographer a year before the wedding. As soon as we had our date confirmed, which was about 11 months before the wedding, we booked with our photographer.

There is no ban on outside photographers, but you can't have them do any events that are inside the parks. That went into effect back in October.

I'm pretty sure this is mainly a rumor. They cant go IN the parks, but events outside are able to use outside photographers.
