I saw a book in a thread a while back that some of you recommended. I can't remmber the title of the book. I have a Canon Rebel XT. I am looking to get into using the manual mode more. I want it to be more than an expensive point and shoot. I have experimented a little and was impressed with the results. What is a good book to teach me the ins and outs of iso and stuff?

"Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. Easily found at amazon.com. Couldn't, however, find it at my local Barnes and Noble.

Ansel Adams "The Negative". An excellent book on why your camera can't capture the full range of most scenes and how to deal with it. Also covers how to get the brightness of a scene to look like what you envisioned, instead of what it really looked like.

The next book, "The Print" explains why printing paper is even more limited, and how to deal with that.
