Motorcycle with side car ** Not a good pic, it was late in the day and the sun was shining in the window at the Harley dealer, which was closed. I found a different angle with less glare, but my battery died right after taking this one. I saw another one go right by me yesterday and I didn't have time to lift the camera, again!!

Looks like we're winding down, guys.

Try to get any pics in you've been meaning to post!

I hope to get just a few more tommorow.

Now I have to find a reason to keep shooting and quit thinking, "hey there's a scavenger hunt shot".
I know what you mean! FYI related pictures will always be welcome here if opportunities come up, and maybe someone will come up with something for the winter. (Someone mentioned an A to Z thing before.)

I'm sure we'll all be "seeing" jalopies, clam shacks, ornate mirrors, nuns in habits, holsteins, quarter horses, udders, :crazy2: torpedos, X's and grids, mullets and such for a long time to come! :lmao: I know I will!

I've really, really enjoyed seeing the spirit of participation here and of course, your great pictures. :goodvibes Hopefully we all learned a thing or two! Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences with the rest of us.

PS "official" entries can go through 11:59pm tonight.

Is there anyone here who can put together a trophy for the winners?

Those who think they may be in the running for winning, just a reminder. You're responsible for keeping track of your points and they must be VERIFIABLE.

Thanks! And Good Luck!

Pea-n-Me, that was actually me that had the thought of the A-Z picture a day. Just not real sure how to work it out, open to any and all ideas.

Pea-n-Me, that was actually me that had the thought of the A-Z picture a day. Just not real sure how to work it out, open to any and all ideas.

Here's an idea and it would be quick and simple to get started since tomorrow is September.
For the month of September go out and shoot anything that starts with the letter S, there are many out there, school, school bus, swings, swans, sweats, shark, snake, sandals etc.
Just an idea, and maybe just continue for each month.

That's a good idea. You could also expand it to include, say, the first letter of the month and also a color, or something that has another characteristic, for example. Or something like that. Use your imagination. The only problem I see is that there are several months that begin with J and I don't know how many J items one can find, especially in January (for those in winter climates - winters are a real challenge to shooting). :confused3

I think you had mentioned in your OP rmdavis (or maybe I mentioned it when I was bouncing some ideas around for this assignment), something about breaking up the alphabet in blocks, such as A to D, E to H, etc, and then also maybe some kind of other "twist" for interest.

UPS Driver this proved to be the most elusive shot for me. This is actually my DD's ex BF who's a UPS driver. It was taken with a cell phone yesterday afternoon.

Naval ship Actually there are 2 here. The USS Olympia nd the USS Becuna. The Olympia was Admiral Dewey's flag ship in the Spanish American War. Unfortunately this beautiful lady is in bad shape and will be scuttled within the next year. Her hull is down to 1/8" thick in spots and she will sink if left at the dock. The Becuna was a submarine used in WWII. They are both decommissioned now.

Ornate or unusual mirror this is a replacement so no points. I just thought it was really unusual. It was in a display about the Olympia and Admiral Dewey is one of the portraits carved around the miror
