Photography Board Summer Assignment, 2010: Scavenger Hunt

PrincessinOz, LOVE the rodent shot. :thumbsup2 It and the tomahawk are fine.

But your Jeep - despite it having four wheels  it's not what I had in mind for off road - someone would have to be driving it and the wheels would have to be sandy or otherwise kicking up dirt. But good attempt. :lmao:

BTW, Yankee Candle is huge around here. Stores are everywhere. I hope you got a chance to check them out and maybe pick one up and they make great gifts. http://www.yankeecandle.com/cgi-bin/ycbvp/retail.jsp

Thanks Pea-n-Me.

Yes, I totally understand about the "Jeep". I got a lot of strange looks in the shopping mall because I couldn't stop laughing out loud when I saw it....and it completely fitted in with my off-ball category stretches! :lmao:
And I doubt I'm going to find anymore stretches for next week...

And I think I will stop into Yankee Candles at some stage. That's about the only shop I've seen here...but then we have other candle shops in our malls. Thanks for the heads-up.

Don, love the Mt Washington/Cog Railway shots. DH and DS came close to doing it a couple of weeks ago, but didn't, so they'll enjoy those. You may recognize some of the shots I'm about to post.

Thanks Linda
Yes I,m very familiar with the Tilton Dinner, use to eat there weekly when my dad was alive and being taken care of at the Veterans Home in Tilton.

Quietude This was what I thought was a monk reading at the cemetary, that was untill my DS screamed like a little girl. I felt so bad when I walked over and he had been stung by a wasp:scared1:, that ended our picture taking for the night! He informed me that he would be staying in the car when I take the rest of my pictures lol.:scared1:

We are travelling in our RV to Walt Disney World. We left Baltimore, MD early this morning and finally stopped after 13 hours of driving at a small campground in southern Georgia. After setting up camp, I grabbed my camera and found these.

Now we are about to get a summer storm. Maybe I can get some lightening shots!!!Always have to look for the positive in things!!!!!

Wow!! This is amazing. I am so glad I found this thread!! :cool1: It sounds like so much fun. This will definatly get me using my camera for more than just Disney. LOL

I just copied the list and will really begin my search tomorrow but here is my first pic:
DH and I got home from walking and the storm was just rolling in.

Stormy

DH has a job interview tomorrow in Down Town Disney so I will be taking my camera and the list to see what I can find.

Yankee I've been on the look-out for a US tourist wearing a NY Yankees cap or t-shirt. Imagine my surprise when I saw this shop!!

I can also attest to Yankee Candle - I spend lots of money in their shops when I'm in the US!!! I love them!! When/if you go to Orlando later in the year, I know they have a store in the Florida Mall, and I noticed an outlet store was opening in I think Premium Outlets at the end of International Drive! The fragrances are much stronger than Dusk, and of course, lots more fragrances, too.

But the clouds rolled in from I don't know where...and leaving me with Evening (Replacing previous shot).

Do I see a kite in the photo?? Perhaps you could use it for that category if you haven't posted one already??

Thanks Heather. Yes, I think I'm going to head back to the Toorak store and check out the range and pricing. It's about the only store in Melbourne.....and then I'm just going to have to visit the store in Florida Mall when I'm there in October. What a chore that's going to be! ;)

Yes, that is a kite in the photo; and I also got two good close-up shots of the KITE IN FLIGHT when the rider came back into shore and the kite was directly above me. But I already posted one of kite in flight that I got in the park when I was stalking the American Women's Association in Melbourne on July 3rd for independence day celebrations photos .

Lately, I've been trying to get multiple categories in the one photo (did you see the one of MYSELF with the SUNDIAL??). I did say my life was sad at the moment :lmao:.

Never thought I would get this one. We were at the fair and my camera batteries had just died and I was on my way to a stand to buy some new ones ($4 for 2!) and we saw a group of suited people. I went up to this one and asked if he was wearing a Zoot Suit and he said "Yes." I asked if I could take his picture for a souvenir and he was happy to oblige. Here is the result using a cell phone camera.
