Here is Natalee. She joined our family yesterday. We adopted her from Petfinder. She is amazing and we love her.

WOW! What kind of dog is that?!? So pretty!
He's a Blue Heeler. We were looking for one for our 9 year old son and my aunt found him @ the vet's office that she works at. The people who originally bought him decided he was too much work. He is a wonderful puppy (only 7 months old now). It's really amazing what a perfect fit he is for our family - He & my son have the same tempermant & energy level!

Thank you for the smiles today. What beautiful pictures, everyone! :goodvibes

You know I'm partial to Shepherds. That puppy was too cute! But I loved the goat, too! :lmao:

Today, my Husband and I lost our first pet. Mr. Winkle (a female kitty) was only three years old and after suddenly becoming ill this weekend, she passed away at our house today. I don't have many pictures of her, since she was a shy cat, but the one I do have is one of my favorites of all the pet photos I've taken.

Missing you already, Winkle.

So sorry Ann. We lost a kitty a few months ago and we still miss him too. Unfortunately he was hit by a car and wasn't even 2 years old yet. Our pets hold such a special place in our hearts.

I'm sorry, she was beautiful.

Ann, so sorry for your loss....Mr Winkle was just precious...we lost our Dixie in Dec and still miss her every day...but we are able to take some comfort in knowing she is now with our Cookie Dog and Mickey Blue Eyes

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Missing you already, Winkle.

So sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is one of the worst things I've ever been through. She's in a better place, and you will see each other again one day!!!

Here's my dog, Daisy. She's the only one in my house who cooperates for pictures....well, if I have a treat in my hand. :)

Aw, Anne, so sorry to hear about your kitty! It's so sad to lose them.:sad1:

Here is a photo of my dog, Gus, who was killed by some men trying to rob my house. They broke into my vehicle, used my garage door opener, and tried to get to the house. Little did they know, Gus and Angel were in there relaxing. Gus took off after them. Angel stayed by the door not letting anything come near it. The thieves hit Gus with their car 4 times and killed him. He was such a good dog, and he loved everyone. (Everyone except someone he knew wanted to hurt his people I guess.) If you have a dog, please give it a hug tonight! Rest in peace my big teddy bear!

This is utterly heartbreaking. I am SO sorry for your loss. So, very sorry. People can be such heartless monsters. I hope you caught them and they get what they deserve (and then a little more).
Thoughts are with you....
