Oh dear God I'm glad you were there for the falling asleep sequenceif I saw Maxine like that I would have probably broken my neck high tailing it out there....your Ivan is a corker
too bad we live so far away would love to meet this guy

He really is hysterical!! He's such a sweet boy with such an awesome personality.![]()
Thank you both...Mickey is a wee little runt of the litter - probably how she got abandoned by mom in the first place...in nature, the little weak runt gets left behind, filtered out by nature...until the big softie who lives in the house nearby hears the cries and can't help but take in the little runt who wasn't supposed to make it. Now I think she likes to spend so much time in the window so she can show the rest of her family how she ended up better off than any of them! At 2 years old, she's only 7lbs and pretty tiny...I see cats 4x her size around the neighborhood.
Michelle - great horse, and a great sequence! I haven't ever had a horse, so I didn't even know they would lay down that way to sleep...I'd have probably thought the thing was dead if I passed by - I'd be alerting the owners...now I don't have to embarrass myself.
I have a kitty that was a runt and almost didn't make it. Actually they found the little guy cold on a bale of hay right after he was born and revived him! He's the best cat I have!!
I have another horse that NEVER sleeps all the way on his side like Ivan does. Ivan just really enjoys his naps!! There have been times that I do holler his name just to make sure he's still alive!!![]()
Maxine is the only horse we have ever had...it took 3 years for me to reassure my DH every time he was home alone and I was running errands and he would be calling on the cell in a panic NO she's not dead ! I'll hold on go call her name....too funny( of course when he's not here my heart nearly stops too !)
Ok Kathy this is too precious, all I can say is our horses sure feel safe since they let their guard down like this...would love to see a picture of them all all sprawled outToo funny! Every now and then I get to holler to DH that we have 4 dead horses. I'll have to see if I have any pictures of them all sprawled out but right now the only thing I have with all of them laying down is this one. Not a great photo but it is rare to have them all down at once. Two of them heard me come out to take the picture. lol

We recently lost our beloved beagle, and after some grieving time, we decided to adopt another dog. Here's my DS proudly showing his new, almost full-grown (9-months) pup, Cooper. The animal shelter had him listed as an English (red-tick) coon-hound. He doesn't really have the ears of a coonhound, but he's got to bark and personality of one. (Somewhere earlier in this thread I posted pictures of the Bluetick we adopted a couple of years ago).
Just wanted to share our newest family member.
