Hi all

So, i have my heart set on 8th October 2012 for our Disney wedding (if available) and have made contact with Randy Chapman but unfortunately he is already booked.
We are abit stuck for changing the date as some of our guests are only coming out for 1 week, so can anyone recommend any other photographer rated as highly as Randy is? Or is it worth really trying to change our date so we can have him?

I'm using a company called Elegant Imagery. They're gonna be there from the time I start getting ready in the morning to the last big moment of the reception (garter toss, cake cutting, w/e). In all I am getting about 6 1/2 hours of photography and a photo booth for $3,000.

There are numerous threads on this sight discussing different photographers. I would not just go by who is most popular, but also by whose style you like. The most popular among dissers seems to be David and Vicki Arndt, Randy, and Misty Miotto. There have been other names that come up as well that people love. I booked the Arndts and am more than excited. They are quick to respond to emails and are very friendly.

I highly recommend Misty Miotto! I have actually had friends who used Randy, as great as he is, regret not hiring Misty after seeing my photos! In my opinion, she has a very feminine eye and including all of the fine touches that we tend to overlook on our wedding day.

Another vote for the Arndt's! I live in Orlando and my wedding day photography is a priority. I shopped around and visited the most popular wedding photographers in our area. I loved David and Vicki's style and the fact that you get 2 photographers for the whole day. They include e-pics with their wedding packages, they give Disney brides a 15% discount, and you can get 8 hours with (2) albums and a DVD with printing rights for $2210.
Without the albums the package is $1700 but when I saw their albums I knew that it was exactly what I wanted.

We had our e-pics done and I am thrilled with them! We LOVE D&V!

I saw on their Facebook Page where one of the Disney wedding planners just got married and the Arndt's photographed her wedding too!

Thank you all very much! I had a look on Misty Miotto's website, gorgeous pictures but i thought a tad on the expensive side (we probably only want 3hrs max with cd) I have posted a message to David & Vicki Arndt so fingers crossed we will get sorted soon!

I completely agree with somethine that has been mentioned and that is you MUST pick your photographer based on their style and that being what you want not just because they are a popular choice etc

We are having Jason Angelini as our wedding photographer, he has a great style imo and exactly what we wanted.

agreed!

although i probably wouldn't change my date based on one photographers availability, i would just prioritize. if i were picking a photographer because THEIR pics (not "just" awesome or fabulous pics) were my NUMBER ONE priority, then i might shift my date a day or so forward or back...... we used the arndts and LOVE them, found them via a friends recommendation and DH LOVED teir pics - and they re awesome people and i never thought i could feel remotely comfortable getting my pictures taken. going to have dinner with them in two weeks! good luck!
