Photographer woes- how would YOU handle it?

Well, for my September '06 Intimate Wedding, we used an outside photographer. She was great, friendly, took lots of pictures. We saw them online, very "us." Well, we were going through the pictures on the disc, and a whole chunk of photos were MISSING! (about a half hour's worth)

After the ceremony, we had taken some pictures at Picture Point (behind the Wedding Pavilion.) I was really excited about seeing these pictures! Picture Point was one of the reasons why we went with the WP! And now we don't have these pictures for whatever reason!!

We had one problem with this photographer since the wedding, when the previews were available online, but she forgot to post the formal pics with MY family. We got a response about a week later, she forgot to put them up. OK, cool. We have those. What I didn't realize were there were no Picture Point photos, and one goofy photo of us that we really wanted.

So, we emailed this photog (and BCC: ourselves to document the email) asking to have those photos, and other unaltered photos that we liked. (She altered some that we liked with frames, etc.) So, we havent heard from her yet, and I'm getting a little nervous that they were erased from a memory card or something. It's been 4 days. I asked DH to email her, too.

We're thinking of calling her. What would YOU do? Give it a few more days? Call her now? Another email?

Call her now. You paid for her services and if she missed something, you are certainly entitled to it.

I agree! Call her, don't act mad...Just let her know they're not there and that you would like to have all of your pictures please! Cross your fingers and we'll all send good vibes that your pics are fine and just forgotten!

I agree with the others. don't wait. If you wait too long, she may just delete them from a memory card... call her now and ask her about them. I'm sure it will be fine. perhaps they were on a different memory card and that's why she forgot them. Keep us updated.

I would contact her again in a few days if you don't have a response asking if they were possibly put on another memory card that was either 1. not uploaded or 2. placed into a separate folder and possibly forgotten about. There is the possibility that this was the case. There is also the possibility that the pictures were not the best quality and that's why you have not seen them. Hopefully you'll see them. Perhaps the photographer felt that they weren't the best reprensetation of your day. Afterall, we are ourselves worst enemies-critique wise.

I know that DH and I are missing images from our wedding (years ago, different photographer) that when we inquired about them found out that the image quality was poor. As someone who does photography I understand that this can happen and let it go as I was pleased to have the rest of the images.

Well the first thing you need to do is call immediately...... why even have the slightest chance of waiting and having no chance of getting those... now if she doesn't respond to phone calls then you need to take other actions such as maybe contacting the BBB.

Well, I decided I'm going to call her tomorrow. I'm going to give her the additional day, and then go for it. I don't care if they're *bad* pictures, I want to at least SEE them! Its just weird that they're the pictures from Picture Point. I didn't see *any* from that shoot.
