Photographer Request

I emailed by consultant with my concerns about requesting photographers and who is even available and here is their response:

Below are our wedding photographers:
Joe Duncan
Amy Alexander
Mike Strickland
Ty Boyce

We have additional photographers that are second shooters (aka assistants) on weddings, however these are our lead photographers.
Also, David and Vicki are no longer with our department, so they would not be available for any future weddings booked through Disney Fine Art Photography & Video."

I had planned on doing my parents surprise vow renewal at Epcot but
I have to have David and Vicki Arndt. They have shot so many weddings
that I have been in, and so many weddings that I have worked. Their
pictures are always amazing and I know I can trust them with this very
special and important event. We will probably switch to Sea Breeze Point
or the WP. Now I'm sure I'll be able to get them at a better price too. LOL!
Or at least, I hope so.

Wow, Disney photographers seem to be dropping like flies. I remember the list being quite a bit longer a few months back... Hmm.

So can you have an outside photographer as long as they have a ticket? I would really like to know if this is true, I'm looking to get married in 2-3 years and the photography is something that I am very concerned about.

This is not true. It may have been for Escape brides many years ago, I think. Escape weddings are no long held inside the parks.

But now If you are having an In-Park weddings have to be done by DPS.

Grr. I was hoping you wouldn't say that. I really wish they change this rule. I would pay extra to have the photographer I want.

I would too. It would make planning a wedding no longer a stress for me. It's the biggest issue I have, and it's a deal breaking issue.

I agree. It is very frustrating but on the other hand my coworker is getting married and stressing out over finding a phtographer. She thought it was awesome we didn't have to stress out about hiring one. Of course I'm stressing out over whether or not they'll do a good job. But we are set on a venue
