Photograph Search... Help!

Hi everyone!

This board has introduced me to many different photographers in the Orlando area. I am going in March and plan on having an engagement session. (Pictures are so important to me, so this is one thing that I want to make sure I make the right decision about!)

Thanks to this board I learned about Root photography and think that there pictures seem to fit my style a little more. For the past few days I have been searching for pictures on here that they have taken. I just would like to see a few more to make sure that this really is the best choice for me!

So if you have worked with Root photography, would you please be willing to share some photos with me?

I loved the Roots style as well, but they weren't available for my date and they were a bit out of my budget. Another photographer to check out is Studio 222, also out of Orlando. They have a similar style to the Roots, but are a little less expensive. Although I can not say much personally for their photos of my wedding, I will say that their work is gorgeous and I will let you know after my wedding (next week!). I am not getting married at Disney, but there is a Disney bride on here that used them and convinced me to use them. PrincessShea is her user id.

Thank you so much for the advice! I continue to look around and continue to look for other ideas. I understand the budget issues, it is something I have tossed back and forth, but it is top of my priorities, right under marrying the man of my dreams!

I don't have any more pictures to share yet (my previews are up on their blog), but I can assure that there will be loads of unique shots! By the end of the night the groomsmen were calling them "snipers" since they always seemed to pop up out of no where for the fun moments. They were so much fun to work with, I know you'll love them!

David and Vicki Arndt. They too, are a husband and wife photography team with a remarkable style and years of expierence.
I work in Entertainment and have been in several weddings that they have photographed. A lot of the Disney Cast Members request them.
They did several of the Disney Couture Weddings by request and the
ABC Extream Makeover wedding at Disney.

David and Vicki Arndt. They too, are a husband and wife photography team with a remarkable style and years of expierence.
I work in Entertainment and have been in several weddings that they have photographed. A lot of the Disney Cast Members request them.

I actually have contacted both the Arndts and The Roots for more information such as their pricing. At this time I am still leaning towards The Roots, but I don't know if that is just because I have seen more pictures from them. Although in reality I think I have seen the most pictures from Randy. Like I said I have spent the past few days going through posts looking at pictures, but when I only have a few photographers in mind, those posts get overwhelming! (not necessarily in a bad way!)

Thank you! That is what I want. My DFiance and I aren't necessarily the typical couple. We are complete opposites, if someone told us that we would end up together we both would have just laughed, but yet there is no one better out there! I want somebody who can truly capture us and I think that is why I am so drawn to their pictures! I can't wait to see your pictures. I did see you on their blog before I posted this! You will have to share as soon as you get them!

I feel the same way you did. I looked through tons of pics on these boards and all of the ones I LOVED were by the Roots. Photography was really important to me, what's the point of having tons of awesome things at your wedding if your pictures aren't good? That's what you have left after the day. I also felt that they truly capture the essence of the couple and I am not a fan of really posed pictures or traditional formal shots. They are more pricey than some others, but I can say that everyone I see their pics I know it will be completely worth it. I'm extremely picky about pictures and I have yet to see a picture by them that I don't like.

I also have to say they are just the most wonderful people and I really cannot wait to have them be a part of my wedding day!

David and Vicki Arndt photographed our wedding, and I highly recommend their work! They were a lot of fun to work with, they had wonderful ideas about poses and backgrounds, and we're overjoyed with their photos!

I was wondering, were you ever nervous about having an Aug. wedding? I think that is going to be the best time for us to do it?

You're very welcome, I hope it helps you make your decision. I completely understand. I definitely didn't want the "typical" wedding pictures with lots of posed shots and set-ups and I wanted our pictures to capture the feeling of the day, and I think their pictures truly do.

I'm a little nervous since with it being hurricane season but it's pretty rare for a storm to hit Orlando directly so we're just keeping our fingers crossed. I am prepared for it to rain since during the summer months it rains pretty much everyday but usually only for a very short period of time. The heat is another concern but we could only have the wedding in the summer and most events are indoors anyway.

With a wedding you're always subject to the weather, so I don't worry about things until there is a reason to worry. I find it works out better that way. Besides it's really about me and DF getting married, so it will be perfect no matter what.
