Photo Trip Report

We're back from our Wonder Cruise and I had grand designs on a photo trip report. This turned out to be both time consuming and technically difficult, so I had to scale back the grand design.

The background:
August 21st Our First Disney Cruise

The Participants:
Myself, DH, DS9 and DD5 (our son is at an awkward picture taking stage, as you might notice)

The Big Picture:
We had an incredible time.

The Highlights:
The Mickey Pool, the Princess meet and greet, the Bridge tour,
Disney Dreams, Animator's Palate and CastAway Cay

The Big Surprise:
An upgrade from Cat 9 to a Cat 5

Wow, your pics are excellent. What type of camera were you using?

We used a Kodak EasyShare digital camera. This is our first vacation with a digital camera only. One minor disappointment was that the ship's photographers would not use our camera to take any pics. I read many times that they would do this, so I had hoped for more pics with all of us in them. We were pleased with the digital because you could tell quickly whether or not you got a nice shot. Also, our photos are actually lighter than the ones you're looking at in the album. For some reason, the transfer to the album darkened them up a bit.

What wonderful pictures...you all look like you had a fantastic time! Loved Cassie in her princess dress with all the princesses. Do you know if they do this on the Eastern as well?

Since this was our 1st cruise and we were on the Wonder, I'm not sure about the Princess Meet and Greet on the Magic. I checked Barb's site for Navigators and it wasn't listed on the Magic but I would think they would have it. If you have a little girl, it's the highlight of her trip!

Great pictures! I think my fav is Sweet Cassie. The next one I love is the one of her curled up sleeping in the chair. We have one of Joshua out cold with his head on the table at dinner. How many kids can say they have done this?

My family cruised the Magic in 2000. The Sci-Fi Diner was our favorite too! We're waiting to book our fourth 2005. Looking at your pictures makes it easier to wait - because I know how much fun it will be.

So... when is your 7 day? How about 2/2005 with us?

We're considering a 4 or 7 day for next year. With the 3 days at the parks and a 3 day cruise (and staying on the ship at Nassau), I actually didn't mind the length of the cruise. Although if money were no concern, I'd cruise for a month but then again none of our clothes would fit by the end!

Hi bthrsoon,
Thankyou for sharing you lovely family pictures with us.
We are taking our first cruise next May 2005 on the wonder for 3 day's, so it was lovely to look at your pics , especially as we have 2 little girls, one who especially likes princess's.
You all looked like you were having a ball.
Please don't think Im being rude by saying this but it was also nice to see what you were all wearing whilst dineing, you looked smart and really comfortable.
My hubbie was getting a bit stressed as he thought he was going to have to wear shirt/ tie etc.
He enjoy's casual cloths and always looks smart, but the thought off having to be suited and booted as we say in the U.k. was playing on his mind.
As he said Im holiday, I want to relax.
Anyway thank's again, you have a lovely family and treasured memories from you cruise that will last forever.
