the first time ds and I went to disney I came home and relized that I wasnt in any of the photos.
Give your kids a small camera and let them take photos of you and dont be shy about asking people to take phots of you and your child.some of my best pixs are the ones other people took of ds and i.

And at characters you can always ask the "handler" if they wouldn't mind taking a photo.

I am not a photo person, so I don't mind that I am not in any of the photos.

I am an avid photographer & I totally agree. I am rarely in the photos.

However, I have offered to take photos of people / families when it is obvious that 1 person is being left out.

If you need someone to take a photo for you, look for a person carrying a nice camera. ;)

I have also asked cast members & even the photographers on Main Street to take a photo of me & my husband. Never a regret.

I agree: always speak up & ask others to help you out. It's not even just WDW. I work in Times Square in NYC & I sometimes feel as if I'm the Official Tourist Photog of NYC! :) It must be my face or something, but I get asked all the time & I even offer. Otherwise, your photos will be of one or the other person & not everyone together. This is esp true for honeymooners. Their albums must look funny if they never ask for help.

I agree...ask someone to take the picture with you in it! All of the cast members that I have asked are more then willing to help out.

We gave our 6YO DS a disposable camera on our trip and as it turned out, he's quite the budding photographer! He loved using his camera and would actually seek out better shots and/or angles!

My 8YO DS could've cared less about his camera. We ended up giving it to his brother! ;)

I love it when people ask for picture help, don't mind at all. Also, I noticed that the wait staff in Disney restaurants always seem pleasant about taking your picture. Disposable cameras are also user friendly for people timid about handling someone elses camera.
