Photo Shoot?

At WDW they have Disney Event Photography where you can book family photo sessions. There are also Orlando area photographers who will do photo shoots on the hotel grounds (we have done 2 of these with Randy Chapman, who does a lot of Disney Fairytale weddings).

Is there anything like this available at DLR? Either through Disney or local photographers? We have really enjoyed the shoots we have done on our past 2 trips with DD,and would love to do one in DLR as well.

Or, as another option, will photopass photographers work with you for a quick little shoot? Not anything long..but we're really hoping that DD will be walking on our next trip. She's 2.5 and not walking yet...we have multiple PT/OT appts each week helping her get there..it's been a really long road. It would be amazing to have photos walking hand in hand down Main Street with her! It'll only be the 3 of us, though, so without another person there somehow we won't be able to get that shot with all of us holding hands/walking down MS. We're looking at a trip Nov 13-20th, and it seems like the weekdays we'll bethere won't be too crowded (the weekend we arrive is Avengers 1/2, but I've heard after that it calms down).

TIA!

We went for our 30th anniversary, we had two photographers who spent a few minutes with us off to the side to get some special photos. If there is not a line waiting for the photographers, they seemed happy to take a few extra photos!

Sometimes it seems the photopass photogs want to take lots and lots of pictures. If it's not a super popular spot, they like to go crazy. We got some really nice ones to one of the castle.

I recommend getting your own photographer personally. The DL photographers really aren't that excellent. I highly recommend http://www.ernestpr.com/#!photography-home/c1cst

She actually used to be a cast member at the resort and is a great photographer :)

Any guestimation on cost for this photographer?? We are considering these same two options...Disney a Photo pass or pay for an official photo session.

Would an outside photographer be able to take pics in the park?
Yes, so long as they don't block walkways or interfere with other guests. The best thing to do is book a time in the morning, and go to areas that aren't as popular first thing. For a somewhat clear Main St I'd try to do it during EMH, as most people head straight for FL and on a weekday or a 7am EMH that leave Main St pretty deserted. However, getting a private photographer in during EMH is an issue. If there's 3 of you staying on-site you could add them to the room reservation, but that's the only way I can think of without buying a 3 day ticket.

Officially, paid photo sessions at Disneyland are against Disney policy but you will find people who do them. I honestly wouldn't mind taking pictures of you guys for a little bit for free if it works with my work schedule.

I have done a couple small photo-shoots in the parks and I think if you bring an outside photographer, as long as they do not disturb the photopass CMs, other guests, or block any pathways or entrances, you should be fine. We did have a security CM come up to us once, but they simply reminded us not to block any entrances, then he let us continue with our shoot. I heard that you can't come in with a wedding gown and that if you would like to dress up, I think you need to have something arranged with Disney. (I am not 100% positive about that part, but regular clothes is fine.)

We did a photo session last year, and I was very, very happy with the results. We will be doing one again this summer- I typically get professional shots done once a year, and I try to do it to capture special memories from different places. The ones from last year came out so perfectly that I can't resist a repeat venue and we will definitely use the same photographer- she was fantastic.

There are several you will find if you search google, which is all I did. We chose pbkisses photography, and if you find her on facebook, you can look through the photo shoots from DLR.

ETA - Our photographer was very respectful of others in the park, and we saw several CM who didn't say anything to us.

I just asked her so I'll post back when she responds to me :)

She said it's usually $125 but it can vary depending on what you want :) I'd contact her on her website. She's a really sweet girl

I loved that blog! I was sad that it ended! She had amazing stories of her time at DL :)

This is so sweet! I got all teary-eyed thinking how magical this would be for you! I hope you get some great photos!

I have found that the photo pass guy that is usually in Fantasy land is really great and always takes us around to different spots to take our picture.

Just wanted to follow up with this post. We did have a photo shoot with the person that iKristin linked above, and it was wonderful! She was amazing with our daughter (and with us!), and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I just downloaded our edited pictures this morning, and they are beautiful. She truly captured our daughter's joy (and the walking moments hand in hand that we really wanted!). These pictures are precious memories of this trip, and I'm so thrilled at how it all turned out. Thank you so much for the recommendation, iKristin!
