Not to diminish the EXCELLENT pictures that you obviously had to get right from the start, but where did you learn how to do your post-processing at??? Great shot!! (And again, not saying it was just accomplished by PP. :thumbsup2)

Could have used a fish eye last night. This is most of the 34,616 fans in attendance last night at the Carrier Dome during the Syracuse Orange/Villanova Wildcats Big East Basketball game. Won by Syracuse, 95-77.

Wow Scott, that was some flash you were using!

^I'll echo what I've said about many of these shots individually with a simple 'nice shots' (understatement of the thread, most likely). Really great composition and processing on all of them, Jamian!

Wow! Beautiful shot... First you see the fireworks/castle... Then the people... THEN all the camera screens!!!! One again, I HATE this thread! (I soooo want a UWA).

I used the Tokina 11-16mm @ 12mm for this photo and then adjusted it with PTLens (and inexpensive program and plugin for Aperture, Lightroom and Photoshop. A nice tool to have if you own an UWA lens.).

This is the lead photo on my blog today: Winter's Back is Broken

Do you ever have people behind you complaining about your tripod or standing up so high? When I was there in November for MVMCP I set my tripod up about an hour and a half before the fireworks right about where the guy with the red hooded sweatshirt is sitting in your picture, and then about 5 minutes before the show a guy came up and asked "Do you know how many people's views you are blocking by standing there?" Here I was set up before any of them were sitting there and they chose to sit behind me, so I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen to them. Especially when I see how high you are shooting from. BTW, INCREDIBLE shot (as usual!!) :thumbsup2

Yeah I know what you mean- this was taken the night I met Code at MK and also the first time I ever used my new bigger tripod. We were side by side with two fairly tall tripods (not to mention two fairly tall guys- I'm 6'3" and I think he's taller than I am.) We set up early about half-way between the back of the partners statue and the 'road' that wraps around the hub there. As people filled in around us- most everyone in front of us ended up sitting down for the show while those even with us or behind us were standing. No one said anything but I did feel kind of self-conscious about it. Not sure if we were responsible for defining the sitting/standing areas or if it just worked out that way.

Of course I have been on the opposite side of the coin where you set up with a normal height tripod on Main Street an hour early and two minutes before the show someone comes and stands directly in fron of you.
