Can I ask where you normally go to check out your tutorials at?

Usually, I have something very specific in my head that I think Photoshop should be able to do. From there, I try to translate my thoughts into a good Boolean query and enter it into Google. I'm lucky if I can find one or two good tutorials given the specificity of my 'needs', so I just click whichever is first. If it's no good, I go back and click the next one (if there is a next one). For more basic things, I'm not really sure if there is a good "standard" Photoshop tutorial site (I'm sure there is), so I'll let others chime in on that. The Google method has worked well for me thus far, though!

I use Kelby Training (www.kelbytraining.com) for tutorials. It's a pay site, but well worth it. I've been working in Photoshop for over 15 years, but these folks have taught me a lot of new tricks in the last month. Plus, I've learned lots of technical things that I've always guessed at with mixed results. Now I know exactly what to do and its easier than I thought. I know the money may be an issue, but if you're serious about learning photoshop, this is the place. Also, you can join NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) and get a discount to Kelby Training, plus a cool magazine, plus some awesome discounts, which by themselves will pay for your membership. I've already paid for mine with discounts on Apple products alone.

Good luck with learning. I have to warn you, if you get addicted it can take over your spare time quickly.

Good idea Tom- I'll keep my eye out for some tutorials. Thanks.

One for today- 14mm

Very nice shot, Jeff. Off topic, but do you by chance recall if the dinosaur topiaries are out? It looks almost like I see a bracheosaurus on the left!

I don't remember seeing any- but I don't pay that much attention to topiaries anyway since I find it impossible to take an interesting picture of one.

A few shots from last weekend at one of the very few older churches in our area - Bethesda by the Sea in Palm Beach, Florida...a beautiful old gothic style stone church.

DSLR-A550 & Tamron 10-24mm F3.5-4.5 UWA. Didn't have my tripod along so had to go handheld; saved by high ISO and steadyshot!:

Sorry for not doing HDR style...I did do one in-camera HDR to increase DR for this big tree in the garden area - iso200, F10, 1/640 & 1/80:

Once again, I agree with Boris Jeff. VERY nice! The exposure is perfect throughout the image.

Interesting EXIF data, it must not have been very dark out -- f/22 and only 4 sec.

Boris
