Justin,
I loved looking at your photos! My favorites were the birds in flight. Thanks for sharing your web page address. You have many more great shots than what you've posted here.

Mickey88,
It's nice to see you post more pictures. The picture of Lumiere is very nice. I don't remember him being in a parade. Is this a recent shot?

Here is a shot I took today in my backyard.

thanks

I'll be posting more once I get home from WDW, and upload to my website..

that was just taken on the 16th,

it is from the street party

Dznyfan, that's a charming shot - like some Rockwellian small town type scene - almost don't notice it's in Epcot!

Heidi, thank you for the compliment on the photos. I do enjoy birding, when I'm not shooting Disney! I've been heading there every weekend to the wetlands as the breeding season is full force right now and there are so many diverse species.

In another 9 days, I'll be back in Disney!! So my shots will shift back to that theme for a bit.

Just wanted to ask:

I own a Konika Minolta Dynax 5D and as it's a Sony Alpha in all but name (given that Sony bought Konika then rebadged the 5D and upped it's Megapix a bit)...

Can I join and share?

:)

I can't think of any reason why not! Minolta is part of Sony now, so you're part of the Alpha family...sort of an Alpha-in-law. So post away!

LOL, Love the Alpha-In-Law line! :rotfl:

Thanks, I just need to arrange a good photo hosting site.

In the mean time, here's two of my favs:

Don't ask me what the EXIF Info is, that was lost when I resized them with PSP. :(

Why is it that everytime I stop using my Alpha 100 that prices on accessories start to fall?

This makes my decision on two different cameras systems harder.

I see that Sony has several of the new lenses on sale and the small HVL-F20AM flash. A good time to pick up something new! ;) I think you're doomed to keep the both systems! :thumbsup2

I haven't processed anything for a little while but here's a couple more from our Nov trip.

Thank you for sharing your pictures.

Kathy, I've been meaning to ask you about your fisheye lens (WL photo). Which lens do you have? I have an old Sigma 16mm and it's not very fishy. Your pictures make long for the sandy bottom pool (Stormalong Bay) at the Yacht Club/Beach Club.

jharrowell,
Where did you take this picture? I think AK, but where??

I've been working on a few different things this last month. My favorite shots this month were taken at a nearby ice festival. On one side of this sculpture, I saw an image like a fisheye reflection. The other side was like a close up lens. The ice wasn't perfect; so the reflections are not perfect. But, I liked the fun images that I was able to capture.

There were many people at this event and people were staring at me taking pictures around this sculpture. However, I was standing near the chicken bowling (yes, frozen chicken bowling) that was generating interest. I didn't take any pictures of the bowling event; the images that remain in my brain are more than enough of a memory. I truthfully find the concept of chicken bowling rather disturbing.

Hi Vandort,

I can't remember exactly but I think it was just a waterfall in an enclosure near the entrance/exit of the park. Using the magic of long exposure of course. :)

Kathy,
I absolutely love your fisheye picture of the boardwalk (from the photo contest submissions this week). Nice job!:thumbsup2

Thanks Heidi! I really appreciate the compliment! :goodvibes

You were asking about the fisheye I used at WL - that is the Sony 16mm. However, the reason it looks so fishy is that I put it on a full frame camera. I got the A850 back in late Sept! The WL photo I even "de-fished" a bit in order to not have such a strong curve in the timber supports. The Boardwalk photo was also taken with this same combination.

I've had the 16mm for awhile now but wasn't able to take full advantage of it on my A700. I had started looking at the new Sony mount Sigma 10mm fisheye and probably would have gotten it if I hadn't bought the A850. The Sigma does give much more of the effect I was looking for on the crop sensor body.
