What part of Dec did you go? We were there the first Sunday of Dec last year and were in shorts and a t-shirt at night. Temps were in the mid 70's even at 10pm.

I took these of myself with my old Canon S3, but recently I upgraded my camera to a Canon 40D. (no self made pictures of me with the new camera yet.)

I just emptied the memory card from my wife's DSLR and found this pic on it... me and my son taking photos at the Watkins Glen racetrack. :teeth: Not a self-portrait, but I thought it was funny. Talk about adverse shooting conditions! :lmao:

Disney content courtesy of the Mickey Mouse jacket that my son is wearing. ;)

Yep - that's me. :goodvibes

We were there 12/15-12/21. The first night they had tornado warnings and funnel clouds around Orlando and it was warm and humid the following morning/afternoon. Then it started to get colder and colder. One night the low was the same as the low at our home in Reno - where we had snow! We had checked out the weather reports before leaving home so we had the gear along. Not all guests had done that so we got to have some fun in some very empty parks in the mornings while most waited for it to warm up. :thumbsup2 We finally were able to shed the scarf and hat the last two afternoons and then wear t-shirts for a few hours before we headed back to the airport. I guess it made it more like the Christmas we have - but not exactly what we were looking for in FL.:santa:

Very cute picture!! Nice lens, too!! ;)

I don't live too far from Watkins Glen - about 1 1/2 hours south, in Pennsylvania. My sister lives in Geneva and is going to the University of Rochester for her PhD!

that is adorable. What a precious shot to have as your son grows.

Thanks! I'm not sure if I even realized that the wifey was taking the shot. As any parent of a 3-year-old (especially a boy!) will tell you, keeping them amused is a full-time job, and I try to do my part of the corralling so that my wife doesn't feel like she never gets any time to take pictures, etc.

Of course, I look kind of strange, trying to hold the camera and use my arm to keep his legs tight, etc... I'm sure we were quite the sight. :lmao:

I'm sure you got some great shots at the races, but it looks like your wife got the shot of the day , that's certainly one to frame and hang..:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ok definitely not the most flattering pic, but fun! Me and my husband. I'm the one without the goatee :rotfl:

As for self portraits I have few. This is a spin on an M. C. Escher self portrait (though not executed with quite so skillfully:laughing: ). It was taken in the Iron Spike room of VWL. DS then 18 is also in the pic. Yep, that's my Mickey watch in there as well.
