Photo Sharing - Portraits

Oh, don't feel bad. A lot of models start in their teen years and they are very beautiful. It's not uncommon to have their mom right behind me during the shoot - like in this shot below that has nearly 15K views on Flickr.

I searched for a thread about portraits and didn't find one, so it seemed about time. Doesn't matter which kind of camera you have, please share your portraits here. Studio, environmental, flash, available light - whatever works for your portraits.

Here's one from a year and a half ago I just got around to processing.

Just found this thread. Cool. Here are a couple of portraits I did for my company's web site. Hope you like the ultra detailed approach. A note on the composition: these were taken to allow room for the person's name and signature, hence the far left orientation of the face.

Great shots wbeem. I may not speak for everyone, but those are the types of shots I aspire to be able to take someday.

Your lighting also seems to be exceptional.

Shout out also to Mr. Cricket. good work.

Thanks, that's very kind. Most of those shots are using a single flash and a small softbox on the end of a monopod.

I'm by no means as good as William, but maybe someday I'll get there. I always love looking at your shots on the Pic of the Day threads and now here too. I still stink at indoor stuff, but I do ok on outdoor shots. Here's one to share...
