Thank you....
I did it in Photoshop by basically applying blur to the top and bottom of the picture. I saw a tutorial in a magazine on how to do it so things look miniature. I'm going to try it on some other photos I took when the Wonder was docked in San Francisco last month.
There is a way, however, to take it so it comes out like this when you shoot. You have to have a tilt shift lens like the ones lensbaby make. The one I am looking at runs about $250. Not in the budget right now so I just experimented in PS.
Glad you liked it.

Okay thank you Denise! I have been trying to figure out the manual way of doing this and was hoping you had figured it out! :goodvibes

Last week I got myself a D7000! I was not planning on it and I took in my 18-200 for service and I got one. I am very happy with it so far. It is super fast, very smart, and does very well at higher iso like 1600 or 3200 even!
One thing I have found is that being over 16mp demand s a high degree of stability when shooting.
Here is a photo from a local lake that my dog loves to swim in. One of the first shots with my new D7k. Just to note this is a raw image that I converted to jpeg. No other post processing at all.

Thanks!
I was over at my Mom and Dads and DD and I were playing with the Dogs. My dog and their dog are Sisters from the same parents born 2 years apart.

1/1000 sec shutter, f5.3, iso 400 shot through 18-135 that came with my D80, body was of coarse my new D7000. I also cropped it quite a bit.

btw I will try to stop posting daily dog photos and get some real ones eventually...lol

Seems like forever since I last posted. Here's one from this morning in Fort Worth. The Omni Hotel.

NICE Dave!!! I talked a friend into the D7000 and am almost jealous. I've passed the D90 on to my teen but I've been trying to figure out how to talk the hubby into trading it for the D7000. Best of both worlds right?:lmao:

DD always gives me this weird fake smile that she can't seem to help when I take posed pics. With the help of her best friend we got her cracking up, caught her in mid laugh. It's not perfect by any means but this is why I take pics to catch moments like this.
