Good job with the focus, Goof! I'm still working on it! Which lens did you use.. the 200mm?
 

If I can get this to work right--which is doubtful--you'll see the picture that I took while fishing last night.

I have been amazed by the quality, composition, and content of the images that are posted on this thread. Thank you to all of you for sharing your talents and knowledge. I have learned a great deal in the months that I have been reading these posts. I still have a lot to learn, and I've found the learning curve to be steep during these first months as a new DSLR owner--with that said, I share my first contribution. I also am happy with any suggestions that anyone might wish to offer up.

I got this yesterday using my 55-200 telephoto lens at maximum focal length of 200 mm (which I think is the best way to shoot bees!). I also was using the widest aperture for that length (5.6), and a shutter speed of 1/400. The ISO was set to Low 1 (which I think is about 100):

Oklahoma sunrise yesterday...temp. got to 74....today BLIZZARD up to 9 in. of snow... only in Oklahoma:confused3.
