Photo Sharing - Nikon Part 2

I attended a photo workshop last weekend and the task was to make light work for you. As a class we were given two $6 reflectors with 60 watt bulbs from Home Depot, some gaffers tape and poster board. We did have several light stands etc.
We were to try to light the light bottle so that there were not any hot spots or highlights. It was fun to built something from scratch. It also showed us you do not have to have expensive equipment to take the shot!

I have a few of my post processing pictures. It was shot at ISO 200 and F8 and a 1 second exposure. Lens was 24-70mm at 70mm.

This first one was the edited wine bottle.

This one I created a B&W layer and painted in the bottle

This one I dropped the yellow on the B&W layer to darken the tabletop. This is my favorite.

William, I read plenty of stuff on your blog. I can't believe you had to remove it. If someone doesn't like your photo, do you need to remove that too?:stir:

Thank you all. I was given a warning that personal blog links are fine only if they include a link back to DIS in a prominent place. I wasn't willing to do that, so I removed my link here.

It seems to me that the enforcement of this rule is a bit selective. Commercial sites are prohibited, but I still see some of those in signatures. I also noted some other personal blogs that didn't have a DIS link back in a prominent position, but it is what it is.

I put that message on my signature to explain why the blog isn't there anymore, and with the notion that perhaps anyone who was curious enough would do a quick Google search to find it.

My guess is that DIS folks want the reciprocal link for SEO purposes, which apparently was important enough to merit a warning.

If this is what people have to complain about, I suppose it makes me feel much better about my own life.
