photo sharing: halloween at home

I love the multiple picture cards! I will look into doing one this year. I took my X-mas picture while in Venice, Italy back in April. I try to take them while on vacation. I upload them to Ritzpix.com, choose from their selection of cards then pick them up at the store.

Marinerbaby... those are such fun photos!

oooh. I think I'd like more info on this, please! :)

IIRC I've purchased most of the stuff I've used here: http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/digital.asp . If you google "digital scrapbooking" you'll get plenty of sites that sell "supplies" and offer tutorials. If you scrapbook you'll see that things are organized in a similar way. Usually you buy and download a kit that has several different coordinating papers and embellishments in jpg format. You then pull them into your photo editor (I use Photoshop Elements 4.0) and use layers to create the layout. It's fun because you can resize things and use them in all kinds of different ways--for instance, the snowflakes that I used as frames in that first card were really little embellishments with initials in the center. I'm sure I'm not explaining it very well, but it's lots of fun and not as difficult as it sounds. :)

When you're finished with the card you just save it in jpg format and upload it to Shutterfly or whichever service you want to use. Check the sizes available before you make the card though so you'll have the right aspect ratio. I think Shutterfly's cards are 5x7.

This was the information I was looking for - I've dabbled in digital scrapbooking, but not really enough to know what I'm doing. I think I've got enough time to play with things before I have a good enough picture (I have 3 kids ;) ) to use for the card. :lmao:

No costumes but here are my pumpkins. Hopefully tonight I will carve the castle!

Wow this thread is kinda making me sad. Our youngest went to a costume party last Saturday night - but isn't planning on doing anything tomorrow. Neither one of my DDs carved a pumpkin.

Maybe I will just have to taken matters into my own hands tomorrow when they are in school.

Mom can have fun too - right?

I wonder how they would react if I picked them up wearing a costume :lmao:

You can't do that unless you submit a pic of your costume on this thread! :lmao:

My DD isn't into it at all this year. I think it has to do with us being so busy this fall that there hasn't been alot of time to get excited about it. I think I will still carve a pumpkin with her this weekend. Who says it can't be done after halloween?

OOPS, I didnt realize there was a thread already dedicated to this! Here are some snapped of my DD's before School this morning! We have a Pop Star and an Army Girl!

My son went as Optimus Prime this Halloween. It's a box from Office Depot, light sticks for the running lights and a lot of paint. It was a fun project for us to put together this past weekend. Everybody should have a box costume at least once.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Just curious to see what other people do with their Jack-O-Lanterns using a Disney theme or character. popcorn:: I've done mine free-hand so they are by no means perfect. Here are mine:
