Here's a few photos from our recent trip to the NY Aquarium. I'm a photography rookie, so please feel free to comment or give feedback.

I have a Canon EOS T1i and these were shot with a 28-135mm IS lens.

I think you did a great job, aquariums are always hard to get good shots, especially inside the display areas, just try and remember to shot the scene on an angle so you don't get any glare from the tanks glass.
The sea otter shot the only thing I would do is crop out the bottom white streak, it's a little distracting, other than that nice job, keep shooting and sharing.

Great job on the selective coloring! The only "blemish" I see (and I don't know that I would necessarily worry about it) is that it looks like you also colored the stroller's brake. But very nice job and love the picture as well. Congrats!

Thanks for the great feedback. I haven't had the opportunity to remove the white streak yet from the top of the tank, but I will definitely do that!

Thanks! Yea, I caught the brake after after I posted it. Seeing all the stuff you and other people post has got me inspired to try more photography. I cant wait to fill up some cards when we are at the World in Sept.

I was at Mystic 2 years ago, nice aquarium a little small and can get crowed but we went in July also. The Beluga whales tank has some great spots to photograph them, the tanks glass wasn't that clean though and being humid it had a lot of moisture on the outside tank.
Inside the aquarium it is very dark, try and use your fastest lens you have and bump up your ISO, keep a check on your shutter speed also and you should be good to go.
Here are some I shot from Mystic. Have fun.
