Hi Photography board,

I am not a pro photographer by any stretch, and am using a P&S for family pictures.

I am looking for a good photo resizer program. For posting photos on the web and e-mailing, I don't want to post and send the large file sizes that I shoot in. Does anyone have any suggestions of any programs to do resizes? In a perfect would I'd like to be able to do a batch at a time.

A free program would be best, but I am willing to buy something.

Thanks in advance!

Check out Irfanview. It does a great, easy job of resizing photos, and I'm pretty sure it can do batches of photos as well - oh yeah, and its free too. :thumbsup2

I was having trouble resizing my pix so I tried Irfanview with this pix.

I like the software. It's intuitive to use with a minimum of hair pulling. The only thing you have to watch is that it auto defaults to saving as bit maps so you have to change to the file type that you want to save in (ex. Jpeg).....and it will save in Documents and not the folder you pulled the pix from to edit it. (LOL How lazy can we get, it doesn't do all the thinking for us!!)

I wished I would have had it before I posted that tiny pix in the postcard category in the Dis board contest. I tried and tried to get it with in the limits and I just couldn't find a way to shrink it.

Thanks for the tip,
:love2:
