Photo Question

Hi everyone! Hope someone can help me here. I have some pictures that have some "ugly things" in the background. Is there a way to get rid of these things? I tried cropping, messing with the color, etc. But no luck. However, I have no idea what I'm doing either! LOL! Thanks a lot!

Here is one of the pictures. It is me on my wedding day. The photographer took a picture just like this, but said not to worry about the crappy wall in the background, that he would be able to fix it. Well, this is a picture that someone else took. Is there anyway that I could get rid or fix that nasty stuff in the background? Thanks!

what software do you have..I used paint shop pro photo, and the cloning tool..

Not really sure what I have to tell you the truth! LOL! I know I have Olympus Master 2, but that came with my camera. Other than that all I think I have is Windows Photo Gallery. Like I said, I'm not a photo person whatsoever and have no clue to what I'm doing!!

you probably need software other than that, to do what you need... how many pics do you have and are they similar to this one, or more complicated..
