photo pkg at Chef mickeys

Does anyone have a picture of the photo pkg that you get at chef mickeys that you can share. Is the plate very large?

Here you go. Straight from the magnet frame on my refrigerator...

I'm the one in the back-right, with the beard. I'm 6' 3". So I'd guess the plate is about 7 foot in diameter. I don't think my brother-in-law (in the center) is that much taller than me. He must be standing on something.

Most PhotoPass photographers will take a picture with your camera. However, my exerience is that they will not for the special photos like this one at Chef Mickey's and Donald's Breakfastsaurus. Sorry.

Just wanted to let you know that you can also buy JUST th emagnets or keychains (maybe some other smaller combo) for about $12-15. We don't buy the big package anymore but instead just get the set of 2 magnets plus it comes with a few extra wallet size pictures for no more than $15.

Much cheaper and we aren't wasting pictures because a lot of times with the large packages, we just don't use all that they give you.

Now we have a nice collection of Chef Mickey's magnets on our refrigerator as well on my parent's. LOL HTH

Since my family and I stay at the Contemporary and because we don't like the dinner menu at Chef Mickey's anymore, we take pictures at the big plate with our own digital camera during the afternoon when they are closed.

You do not have to buy the photo package. We don't always buy it but we always have our picture taken anyway and we always use our own camera as well. Only thing is, DH takes the photos with our camera. We do not ask the photographer to take them, but he might if you ask.

They took the pic with my camera and we were there at a very busy time. christmas week 2006.

although if you buy the package, you can add it to your disney photopass account, as you can with other restaurant photo packages.

Thanks for this info. I was going to ask this question. I think we'd really like a copy of the picture, but not necessarily a whole package. But if we can get it with our photopass and then choose later, even better.

I think you misunderstood. You can only put it on your Photopass account IF you buy the package first.

Restaurant packages are not really part of Photopass. They try and sell you the package and if you do buy it then they give you a code that will allow you to add it to your Photopass account.

Thanks, everyone, for your helpful comments. We'll as the photographer if they can take a photo on our camera. It never hurts to ask - the worst they can say is "no." If they do happen to say no, then I'll just have DH take a photo of me & the kids, or find someone else to take our photo, if possible.

If not, it won't be the "end" of our trip! We'll just get a family photo taken with the Big Cheese himself!

Yep, guess I was confused. No the first time. Looks like we'll have to make friends with others dining at the same time. We'll take pics of them and they can take one of us. It's just hubby and I, so I'd really prefer that we're both in the same picture.

Yep, you can! That is what we do. We just buy a set that comes with 2 magnets and 4 extra wallet size pictures. I think it is about $12-15. You just have to ask and they will price out the different options for you. HTH
