If I purchase photo pass with my AP can everyone on my friends and family list see the pictures without the watermark and do I need to be in the picture?

Only you will see the photos without the watermark. You don't need to be present. You will see photos for anyone listed in your Family & Friends list. If any of them have their own MDE account, they will need to allow you to see their photos (default setting is to allow).
