Photo Pass Special Offer Email

I read on the Photopass website that guests staying at a WDW Resort will receive an email with a special offer to pre buy a photo CD. Has anyone received this email? The website says guests will receive it 45 days prior to their arrival.

i can't get to the website, it is not working. So it actually states in writing that you get the pre order option. I guess only if you book through Disney?

Well we didn't get it. Our 45 day mark passed last week and I looked through every email we got and there is nothing there for us.
Oh well hopefully we will get one before we leave.

For our March trip, I received the email just a couple of weeks before the trip, but it was a great offer - PhotoPass CD and a Photo Book for $150. I'd heard that they weren't sending the offers out anymore, but not sure of that.

I received the email about one week before our trip. It had info about our upcoming stay and things to do, and a place you could click to link to the photopass site where it was $99 for the preorder.

They MAY receive it...it's like any other offer. Some folks will get it, other's won't. Seems to me like WDW is going to lose a lot of money on this one. $100 is iffy if it's worth it. I can't see $150 being worth it at all. My guess is that people won't be getting PP at all if they don't get the offer for the CD. My trip is 2 days from now and I did not get the offer.

We got our email exactly at the 45-day mark. I have opted to take the deal - we have never done the photo cd before. However, last year it cost me about $30 just for two pictures and there were a lot more that I wanted, but with Christmas and recent expenses on the trip I didn't want to spend anymore. So I am taking advantage of paying ahead of time.

The email came titled "Disney Vacation Must Sees for the (insert family last name) Family!" In the far bottom right corner was a section on the photopass. It did not state there was a deal, but when I clicked on it, it gave me the option after I signed in of all of the special offers.

Yep, got the same here. I got mine the day after I paid our trip in full right at my 45 day out mark... last week. Wonder if you are paid in full (or your 45 days were already past) before the pre buy for everyone was taken down if it's taking longer or they're waiting till closer to your departure date? But again it doesn't really say everyone will get it. Good luck everyone!!

I think I may be seeing a pattern, I booked through small world travel and didn't get one either I am NOT happy about this... Disney is starting to chap my hide so to speak with all the nickle and diming and bleeding us dry. I think I am going to spread my next trip out instead of going every other year it may be 5 before I go back.

Just got mine today and my vacation is 35 days away. It was the Disney Destinations email and I usually don't bother to look at those.

Photopass CD =$99
CD plus photobook=$179

Yep, got the same here. I got mine the day after I paid our trip in full right at my 45 day out mark... last week. Wonder if you are paid in full (or your 45 days were already past) before the pre buy for everyone was taken down if it's taking longer or they're waiting till closer to your departure date? But again it doesn't really say everyone will get it. Good luck everyone!!

We booked directly with WDW and it was a Disney Destinations email as well.

Not to repeat, but it does NOT state photopass in the header of the email. It is from Disney Destinations and states "Disney Vacation Must Sees for the (insert family last name) Family!". You must scroll down to the photopass link and click it (THE OFFER IS NOT VISIBLE UNTIL YOU SELECT!!!!!) I only did the CD (which comes with a personalized photo card - however I couldn't get the download your own photo so I just used one of their options but I did customize the title). The CD and card came to $99.95 (you have to take both).

We got ours about 45 days before our trip in December. I had already purchased the Photo CD for $99 about a month ago, before they shut down the site. But I went back to look at the email again last night and also discovered that you can pre-order a customized photopass card. You can add your own photo to it or use one of Disney's "stock" photos. The cost was $4.95 and it takes about 2 weeks to come in the mail. I went ahead and ordered it, even though I know they are free in the park...I thought that if it had my kids photo on it, I would be less likley to misplace it while on vacation and it would make a cute keepsake from our trip.
Oh...the email subject line was "Disney's Must Sees" it said nothing about photopass in the subject line. I hope that helps and I hope those that are waiting for their e-mail gets it soon.

Unfortunately, the discount emails for photopass are only being sent to guests who booked directly with Disney Travel. If you booked AAA or other outside travel agent, you will not be getting the discount.

Not sure why Disney decided this, will be a big loss on their part.

I got mine through Disney Destinations email on the 35 day mark. I am also curious if when anyone gets the photopass card with their documents if that has the pre purchase price on it as well?
