Photo Pass Share Help - My pictures are missing.

Hate that you had to pay full price, but very happy you have your pictures....I must say this is also why I have never shared one....pictures are so special....glad everything turned out...

We had this happen to us too at WDW and my DD keeps asking if we will see "Nana Judy" again on our upcoming trip....:confused3 I didn't understand who she was talking about, and she said, "you know, the lady in the Disney World pictures..." She actually NAMED the lady :rotfl2: and wants to know if we will see her!! I guess when we're at Disney, we're ALL family!! :)

:lmao: :rotfl2: Too cute!!

LOL. You're daughter is a crack up!! :rotfl:

Thank you everybody. Yeah, it sucks I have to pay full price, but that's better than no pictures..

Thank you again.. :grouphug:

I'm really glad that you found a way to get your photos back!

I'd really want to check with the other person who uploaded pictures and did their editing, as it sounds like it's possible that they maybe didn't understand how things would work and may have deleted your photos - possibly in an attempt to sort of clean up the account and make it easier to edit their own. I know Disney's older online Photopass site didn't allow you to delete the original photos - only ones that you'd edited as copies. At the time, it was annoying to me because I couldn't get rid of the obviously bad pictures, but in hindsight, it was a good protection!

If there's any chance the other group member deleted them, I'm sure it was because they didn't understand the ramifications, but I'd want to be sure that they do understand before anyone else uploads their pictures and possibly has the same problem. :scared1: I really wouldn't think they had any ill intent but I could see where someone didn't understand and since your photos were the first uploaded and would have showed up first, they may have deleted them to get them out of their way so theirs would show up first and be easier to see and edit.

The more I think about it, I really suspect that this is what happened, and I strongly suggest that other members of the group follow up on the issue within the group to be sure it doesn't happen again. :sad1:

Probably a good idea to remind everyone that they should only edit or delete their own photos and not touch anyone else's at all. It seems obvious, but I could see that someone might not understand how it works.

I just got home and had to check in to see if you had any news ... SO glad the pics were located! I think I'd be willing to pay the 79.99 to make sure they were safe too. In fact, this is making me feel that I might just go ahead and do this too. I had no idea a pic could be deleted entirely or I probably wouldn't have joined in the first place.

But anyway - HOORAY!!!!

I was thinking that's what had happened to. I hate to blame or accuse someone, but it could have been an honest mistake. I sent a PM to the person that did upload their pics, but they haven't wrote back yet. So who knows. But I just want to know what happened, you know? And that person only has 10 posts here on the dis, so it could have been she didn't know how to use it.. :confused3

Yay, so glad you were able to get them back. It's worth the extra $$$ for sure!

Thank you! It is worth it! I was telling DBF, and he's like "that's a lot of money for 20 pictures!" But I would rather pay that after all this mess than have no pictures.. I'm just going to make a lot of copies with editing.. Yay! I'm so happy!! :cloud9:

SOOOO glad to hear you found your pictures!!!!!!!!

Thank you!! I'm going to banana dance with you!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: so glad you were able to get your pics back!!

Me too! Thank you so much!!!! :dance3:

Thank you all again. I sound like a fool thanking everyone 32589 times, but you all are so sweet and it means a lot to me you guys were concerned! :cheer2:

I remember trying to delete some bad pictures from my account, and it was NOT easy to do. There were a few steps to take, and even though they were MY pictures that I did want to delete, the steps made me question myself, and I didn't end up deleting them!

So if someone from the share did delete ppb's pictures, they really wanted to. Scary! :confused3

prettyprincessbelle, I "found" photopass through a share, and although nothing went wrong with mine, when I got the CD I realized the amazing value of it. I hope you'll be able to see the value like I did.

I suspect this may have been before their current version of the website - possibly even where you couldn't delete the originals at all. It's very easy to delete any photos now - even the originals. You just click on a trash can icon, and it asks if you really want to delete, and you then click yes. Much quicker to delete than to edit! :lmao:

Uhoh. Now that I think about it, the WDW price for a PP CD is more expensive than the DLR price, and PP can tell by the PP ID number, and since Tina did it with a CM at WDW, my ID number starts with a WDW instead of DLR..

That means I have to pay $20 more! AHH! Should I call PP?

I'm so glad that you got your pictures! That would have been awful if you had just lost them. I'm sorry you had to pay again, but I would have done the same thing.

Have fun playing around with them.
