My boyfriend and I are on the verge of buying the PP+ but wanted to reach out and get some input on whether it's beneficial for our scenario.

It's just going to be him and I, we don't have children and we do not plan on attending any character meals. We are going to be there in December and are only visiting the park 3 days (unless I can sneak in a 4th day :scratchin ) Is the PP+ worth it? Any other couples that just captured photos with the onsite photographers and ride photos felt it was worth it?

I do like the thought of having someone designated to take our pics so we don't have bother strangers to always take our photo or have the one ar stretch in all photos :lmao: but we'll make do if that ends up being the case.

Thanks guys!

Here's the thing. It doesn't matter how many pictures you take the pp+ is the same price no matter the number of photos. If you are going to use it make it worth it by takin as many photos as you can. If you don't plan on utilizing it that way, bring your own camera and save the money :)

I felt it was totally worth it. The ride photos alone are $12.95 for a download. After only a few ride photos it pays for itself. By the last day we were actively seeking out the photographers just to get our picture taken. The photographers are very nice and a lot of them will have fun getting you to pose. My favorite was in Cars land where he said "And now you're lost!" I definitely have a very lost look in the middle of radiator springs. It's awesome. I am very pleased with the results and will now get it every time we go. Which hopefully will be much, much sooner rather than later.

I agree. I am a huge proponent of the PP+, especially the $69.95 DLR version. However, I doubt touring without kids for just 3 days and not using it for dining would give you anywhere close to the value. I'd pass.

Agreed. I bought one for our trip this week. We are a group of 9 including 3 kids. Obviously it's much better for us, but the bottom line is if you make sure you utilize it to it's full potential, then it's a great value no matter the group size. If you guys use it for every ride you can, assuming you're probably going to be riding all the big ones that have pic options and even a handful of times around the park with PP photographers, then it's worth it.

I almost decided not to, but then thought, I am going to make it worth it! I don't want to be there and end up using regular free PP and then getting a bunch of great pictures I don't want to pay full price for.

I vote worth it.

You'll get better pictures of the two of you in front of the castle, on Main Street, etc plus all the ride pictures you can have fun with. We ended up with all three of our pictures from Space Mountain, Splash, and RSR -- it's all included in the price.

I appreciate all of your feedback ;) Looks like we'll be purchasing it and our goal will be to take as many pictures as we can.

Thanks!!

Have a great weekend!

We never buy ride photos so just have the ride photos made it worth it for us. Since we already paid for it, we actively searched for photographers. It is also great for night time pics because the photographers will usually have a tripod and know which light settings to use.

Wished we had taken more night shots, especially in the Cars Land area when the neons are on.

Don't forget to ask your photographer about magic shots! At WDW the standard rule is if the the photographer is HOLDING a camera they can do them...if they are using a tripod they can't. Not sure about DL though.

I am all for the pp+ and have already purchased it for our upcoming trip. We are doing 2 character meals so it pays for itself right there.

But someone told me once a long time ago that CM at Disneyland cannot say no if you ask them to take a picture. So before the PP+ we took full advantage of that and gave our camera to a CM every chance we got to get pictures of us together. So take advantage of that too.

I have never heard that standard rule before. The tripod part makes sense, but I seem to remember some "holders" not having any magic shots a few times. We ask every time. Anyway, I'm not saying you are mistaken. I'll just test it out on future trips.

Some might argue that since you never buy ride photos, you shouldn't take that into account when determining the "worth". For us, we were planning on buying the PhotoPass Photo CD anyway for $69, in addition to planning to buy a dining photo package for ~$30, so getting both for $69 made it worth it for us to buy the PP+ pre-buy.

That is what a PhotoPass photographer at WDW told us. I'm not if sure it ALWAYS holds true...but it is a good rule of thumb in any event. Still... Love those magic shots! I don't want to hijack... But are the magic shots any different at DL? We are going next spring and we will definitely do the PhotoPass+.... I'd love some new and different magic shots! I'm kinda "look! There's Stictch"ed out!

I think it's especially worth it if there are only 2 of you. I took my daughter this past summer and knew that if I wanted to be in the pictures, too, we would want photo pass +. It was worth it for us to have lots of pictures with both of us in them and with characters, on rides, etc. When you calculate the cost of just a few photos you might buy, it's a good value.
Have fun!
