Just saw on another post that someone has pre oredered the photo pass. How and where do you do that? Can't find much online about it. Don't know if I posted this in the right place or not so sorry if not!! ;)

We pre-ordered our photopass cd in November. Create a user name/password on the website. When you return enter all your photopass cards in your account, we had multiple cards, your credit for your cd will be in your cart when you check out.

Wow! That's a fantastic deal! So do they give you one photopass card that you carry around the park and scan the card?... or do they give you a card everytime they take your photo?

When you see a Photopass CM, they will give you your first card. You can continue to use the same card, but if you forget it, get another one. As long as you enter all the cards before you finish checking out your Photopass order when you get home, you can put as many cards on there as you want. We have done this as our DD is an adult and sometimes we are separated. So she has her own card and we have ours.:cheer2:

Now you will just need to stop and get lots of photos wherever possible !!! You can also upload your personal photos to Disney Photopass so you will have lots of photos to choose from when you make your memory book
:cheer2:

You will have lots of fun putting the book together after your trip. There are plenty of options on the page types and you can add more photos/ photo icons as you go :)

Have a great trip.

About how many pictures do you guys end up with taken by Photopass on a trip?
It looks like you can also buy individual pictures (as .jpg files?), any idea how much they are each?

Just wondering if this is worth it or if we should wait and just buy one or two individual good ones of the whole family. I'll be travelling with my camera and plan on taking pics of this stuff as well.

One of the reasons I'm thinking about getting the $100 CD is that we'll be travelling with 12 total in our group (4 moms and dads, 4 kids, 4 grandparents) and could condense alot of cards and photos of all the people and kids onto one CD.

What do you think? TIA!

We are traveling in July with a group of 16, 4 families, and we actually split the cost of the preordered photopass between the group, ended up being 25 per family we get 1 CD but since we own the rights to the CD and photos we can make as many copies as we would like. maybe talk to your group about splitting the cost :goodvibes

That's what I was thinking but don't want to get everyone to split it and then end up not really using it (to its full $100 cost anyway).

In the pre-photo pass days, we bought 6 5x7s and paid close to $80 for them.

We were thrilled to get Photopass, because not only do you get tons of photos (we got 300 on ours last time) but you get the rights to them. Meaning we were legally able to put one on our Christmas card, and make copies for grandparents or whomever. You can also embellish them. After your trip, you can go to the website to view your pics and add all kinds of cool things. Your original stays too, so you don't have to worry about changing it.

Here are the prices for if you just get prints. I think Photopass is a GREAT deal!

Two 4" x 6" prints of a single picture $14.95
One 5" x 7" print $12.95
One 8" x 10" print $16.95
One 5" x 7" print + four wallet-sized prints
All of the same picture $19.95
One 5" x 7" print + one magnet
Both of the same picture $19.95
One 5" x 7" print + one luggage tag
Both of the same picture $19.95
One 16" x 20" print $29.95

This past December we used this and in total had 220 pics taken in 10 days, actually only 9 in parks. Each time a person took approx two-three shots. One person took several of my son around the exit for the Safari. He is using a couple of them for Senior pictures.

I keep my photopass in my wallet at all times, to include now. As my hubby said I had the fastest draw in the west and east to get that out when I saw any of the person with a camera and photopass costume.

The book was awesome also. I am thinking of buying another preorder now incase the price goes up before next October since the pre buy never expires.

I love this special and have done it the last 2 years. Am having a trip this August...can I preorder NOW for August or is it to soon? I don't want the special to be gone....

I pre-ordered the photopass for my last 2 Disney trips. It was a great idea because we didn't have to waste any time at the parks looking at photo's and were able to do it at our leisure when we got home from vacation. You can registrer several photopass cards on one account. I was able to split mine with other people that went with me to save even more.

:banana:I just preordered my photopass cd yesterday. I was so happy when I learned you could do this because in the past I"ve spent about $150 after the fact. We are going armed with LOTS of DISzying information this time!!!:rotfl:

that you could put mulitple cards on the cd~!! :wizard:
That is great to know for "next" time!! ;)

Also, if you google Disney Photopass free shipping code you might find one.
We did just a couple of months ago!

I think pre-ordering the cd is a wonderful deal, so much fun and totally worth it!! :lovestruc
