1) would this be worth getting for a 3 day trip, with one of being a Halloween party? My gut says yes since it will be my DS's first trip at over 40 inches - so the ride photos alone, right?

2) I know it is good for 30 days - is that from the first use, last day of use? We have a trip from Oct 18-21st and then another trip for Nov 18-24th. I was already planning on getting it for the Nov trip. Would any of those days overlap on the 1 purchase or should I just purchase it seperatly for both trips?

The Photopass+ is only good for 14 days, but it can be combined with the regular PP pictures So, if you wanted the + benefits for your November trip, you could also get the regular pictures from the Oct trip (not the + picts) included on the CD. Here's how:

You have 30 days to enter your PP card online. After you have entered your card online, you'll have another 30 days to order the CD. So, get all the regular PP picts you want taken for your October trip, but don't enter it online right away (give yourself enough time for the 30 day window to cover your Nov trip, as well as a few days to edit your photos after your Nov trip). When you're within the 30-day window for when you want to order your CD, go ahead and enter your October cards online. Do the Photopass+ for your November trip, enter your card number right away and then order your CD before your Oct picts expire.

Gotcha. Thanks!

So if I want the PP+ benefits for both trips, I need to purchase it twice, which is what I thought was going to be the answer.

Just want to double check something about that 30 days thing : does that mean that once I ordered it, I have 30 days to activate the pass? Because we ordered it for our mid-October trip which is in more than 30 days...

NO...there is no expiration date or time between the time you order the voucher and activate it.
Once you go on your trip and get all your photos taken, you will go to the PP website and enter your PP+ card # to view your pics. You have 30 days to view your photos and order your CD from the time you enter your PP+ card # into their website.
Hopefully, that wasn't clear as mud.;)

Sorry if I'm dense - I just need to verify I understand this correctly....

I ordered PP+ in August. I don't plan to use it until December, which is okay because there is no expiration date. When I get to the parks in December, I turn in the voucher for the special PhotoPass. I have 14 days from that day to have pictures taken in the park, character meals, etc. and to enter the PP+ number online. There I am able to edit the photos and organize them. From the day I enter the info online, I have 30 days to order the CD.

Did I get that right?

Thanks!

Yup! :thumbsup2

Not quite. You have 14 days to use the + options (ride photos, dining photos). You have 16 additional days (so 30 days total) to enter the code online and then 30 days from that date to edit and order CD.

Super fast ordered photo pass plus aug 24 arrived today to Canada, can't wait to use it for my surprise trip form my 6 yr old oct 27-nov 3 my second trip ever went when I was 8, can't wait!

Thanks for the clarification :)

So, to make everything clear :

Let's say someone get in Disneyland on the 1st. When he gets his actual card, he has 14 consecutive days (so until the 14th) to get digital pictures of the rides and packages from Character Meals.

Until the 30th of that same month, he can activate the PhotoPass online. Then, until the 30th of the next month, he can edit the photos and order the CD that is included with PhotoPass +

Am I getting this right?

That is correct. The only other thing that you could do is buy extended time to go beyond the 30th. Here is what I did last year so minus the Photopass+ which just gets you the ride and dining locations added to your photopass account. We went in October and did all of the Halloween stuff. I waited until 29 days from the first date we had taken picutures. We then went again in December but it was longer than the 30 days so I purchased a 15 day extenstion because the pictures were set to expire before our trip this extended them to past the time of our Christmas trip. This allowed me to have all of our Halloween and Christmas photos together. We did the download and got them for our entire family.

I oredered on Aug 19 and recieved it on the 23rd was really impressed

I also have a couple of questions. I've never even heard about this until I read it here on DIS.

So if we order this for our Christmas trip and we get to Disneyland on Christmas Eve but not into the actual park until Christmas Day -- is there any place we can activate it before we get into the park so it will be ready for Christmas Day as soon as we enter?

If not, then I assume if we get our picture taken in front of the Mickey flower bed at the entrance of the park and grab a regular photopass card, we can add those to our photopass+ once we activate it? Or do we just add it to that + card at home later on?

What exactly do we get with the +? I know all of the ride and character meals will be on it but when I order the CD, is the CD free? So esentially we get all of those pics for free after paying the pre-order price? What about shipping?

I just want to know if this is going to be worth it for our trip. Are there a lot of photopass photographers in the park during the holidays? Our last few trips have all been during off-peak season so we really didn't see a whole lot of photopass photographers around the park. Where is the best place to find them? Or are they everywhere during the Christmas season?

No place to activate it outside the park. You have to exchange your voucher for the actual card + code inside the park (at DL it's at the end of Main Street, photo shop; at DCA, it's at the photo shop just past the fruit stand)

Correct, you can add an unlimited # of regular photopass cards to your account and have them on the CD when you order it.

The CD is included in the price, as well as a Gallery CD. So, yes, essentially you get the downloads from the ride and character meals for free. Plus, you get print packages from the specific character meals. I don't believe you have to pay shipping (didn't you already pay shipping to get the voucher?). I know when I bought the Photopass+ at WDW (no option then to pre-purchase), the $199.95 + tax price included shipping.

There are a lot of photopass photographers. You need to know where to look for them. At the mickey in the front, at the tree at the beginning of Main Street, at the end of Main Street for the castle, at the Partners statue, at the castle, Jedi Academy, where there are meet & greets.

Can you upload your own pictures from your camera to add to your photopass cd???

Another question...If I pre-order and activate it in the park on the 14th and use it the 14-16th, then look up photos online, can I still use it when we're back in the parks the 21st-22nd? Or do I lose the 14 usage window once I view the first set of images online?

Does PP+ include Halloween Party photos? Also are there any discounts available? Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes it does (although this is the first year that PP+ has been available).

No you cannot add any of your own pictures to the photopass CD. Terms of use/rules are on disneyphotopass.com

Yes, you're still within your 14 day window of original purchase. Just make sure that you don't order the CD. Also, by looking up the photos online on the 16/17, you've claimed your pictures and only have 30 days from that date to order the CD. I've never used the PP+ card and looked at the photos daily so I don't know how it works to do it daily (it would seem that it should automatically upload your new photos). Another alternative to making sure that your photos are on the card is to go to a Photopass Station (either at DL or DCA) and they can verify that your ride photos and dining photos are on there.
