Photo pass & memory maker

This might sound a really stupid question...

What is the difference or are they the same thing?!

We are wanting to get the one where the photos that are taken by photographers are loaded onto a wrist band and then you have a month when you get home to download them all.

Also another stupid question, does it cost anything to download the pictures when you get home?

Yes they are the same.
Once you have bought it and it is linked to My Disney Experience it will be available on your magic bands.
When photographers take your photo they will scan your band to add it to your account. On rides the photographs automatically go into your account as long as you are wearing your band.
Where the photograph is part of a dining package they will add it to your account, but you no longer get the large prints in the themed folder/frame that you used to get.
When you get home you can download the photographs for free and then use any site to get prints or print your own. I've just ordered mine with Tesco today!

I'm not sure it was value for money for us as we didn't do the chracter meet and greets, but I imagine it would be if you are doing those.

You only get a free band if your staying on site but you can buy the bands in the parks for think it's $12.95 then in the shop they link it up to your my disney account that's what we going to do but if your don't want the buy the bands you pay for memory maker on website then when get to the park go to customer service and they give you a card and then you give that to the photo people to swap to add the pictures to your account.

No you won't get Magicbands free but you buy them.

With memory maker you will get a special card to did to collect the ride photos.

I will say it might be worth buying a MB if you Memory maker though as the ride photos auto link saving you having to go to the desk and collect them plus now on ToT you also get the video of the ride if you have a MB.

This is really helpful info Does everyone in your party need to have a MB then or would it be ok if it was just the main person whos name is on the Memory Maker?

You just need one who is the main person.

If they are not going on the ride with a photo you could hand it off to someone that is.

The only time you would have to stop then would be if you were in multiple ride vehicles as it would only pick up the one with the magic band.

Okay so just ordered photo pass plus.. What will happen now do I get anything through the post?
