We just got back from WDW last night. We checked our photo pass card right away to find 30 pictures on our gallery that were not us! There were 7 different couples/families/kiddos on our photo pass! :confused3 We had our pics on there, minus our pics with Jedi Mickey. And the pictures weren't all that great. DH wasn't ready in some of the pics and a couple were crooked. And a couple that the CM took with our camera turned out a lot better.

So I caution you using PP to rely on good pictures...have some taken with your own camera just in case!!

Thanks for the info .... I am worried about this happening in Sept!!! Do you know if you can still check your pics before you leave the park for the day like you used to do before photopass or can you only purchase them online??Thanks.

As we were leaving the Pooh and Pals at the Toontown Hall of Fame, there was a CM telling you that you can look at your photo's now (though I think you still have to wait 30 mins or so for your picture to be uploaded from the camera). We didn't look, but it does still seem to be an option.

Thanks for the fast info. Eventually I think the photopass will become better organized and they will find ways to eliminate some errors I hope. Sorry you lost out on some great photo ops!

same thing happened to us. There is a family with our pics that clearly is NOT us. I feel bad because the pic of them is actually really good (ours stink).

We were told by the photographers that our photos would be available for viewing at the Expo. Hall in MK 90 minutes after they were taken. You can also wait and view/purchase them online, as they state the photos are available for 30 days after viewing. (I have seen % off coupons pop up intermittently on the website, so it could save you some $ to order online.) Word of caution though...Should you have the chance to view/purchase the photos at the parks, I would advise you to do so. We had our castle/family photos taken one morning on the side of the castle and for some reason, the coloring was very dark. At Expo. Hall in MK, the CM said he could not understand why that happened, but they were able to lighten up the photo so it was worth purchasing. The CM did say that I would not have this same option at home, though.

Secondly, I would recommend viewing your photopass BEFORE you depart from WDW, even if you don't want to purchase them then. We unfortunately missed out on our Main Street/Castle family photo! :guilty: We had this photo taken on our last day in the parks as a tradition and left shortly thereafter. Since all of our earlier photos had uploaded to the photopass without a problem, I felt assured I would have no problem with this last photo showing up once we got home. Well, "Live, you Learn" I guess! THAT last photo NEVER showed up! :confused3 I put in a special request for a search for my photo, but it turned up nothing. :guilty: But, at least I have the sideview castle family photo from earlier in the trip!

Watch your photographers when they run the photopass card through their reader machine...My DH had a vague memory of the Main Street photographer running our card through his reader a few times...We didn't realize, though, that this could mean a potential problem with his equipment, as that photo never showed up! Oh, well, we are already planning our next trip, so we'll know better then!

I am upset over mine as well... It is my own fault! I had kept my pass thru out our whole stay and on the last day when leaving animal kingdom I forgot to get the card back (All pics where on 1 card)and now I only have 1 pic from the whole trip, it is a good one in front of the castle, since we went back there to watch wishes. I have contacted Disney and they are "searching" for mine now. I do have a few suggestions, dont knwo if Disney would listen to me, but I feel that they should have the photopass put on your room key or park tickets key and then that way you can keep all your pics together or even better for my next visit, I am bringing a mailing label to put on the photo pass card with my phone # on it incase I lose it, I would hope someone would contact me... Just my own plan, but none the less, it may work....

Even if you aren't going to purchase them in park VIEW them. The photographers IMHO need more training. You don't take pictures of the castle and cut the top off or the sorcerers hat at MGM. We ended up with our pictures....but they weren't all that great. We had our DD who was 13 months at the time and some of the photographers didn't even try to get her to look at them (and no...I'm not expecting photo session quality with one that young at WDW). So we did have some pictures and we even purchased some of them. But from now on I will definitely look at them before we leave for home.

It doesn't take much to learn to take a simple picture and do it well. Far too often we have had photos that were too dark, the kids looking everywhere BUT the camera, tops of the sites cut off, and photos that were blurry. Disney would make FAR more money on the venture if they strived to find appropriate photo spots that worked with lighting and background. Those would obviously change during the day as the lighting does. But still- more $$ are likely as more people will buy the family photo that says it all!
Just thoughts :wizard:

PP was a bust for us this trip. My sister said 75% of the pics were missing. Thankfully I shot 9 nine rolls!

Write down the number on the pass (or passes) somewhere. Or take a photo of the pass with your own camera. I wonder if you could get a photographer to take a pic of your driver's license or a card with your name and address and swipe that..... Some folks take a pic of a card with their name and address as the first shot of every roll of film.

And I agree about the photographers and training. It almost seems like they may get paid based on photos taken or cards swiped rather than on the actual number of photos purchased.

The first thing I did after receiving my photopass was to write the number down in case it got lost. We also took the advice of a CM to check our pictures before leaving the park in case they didn't turn out (or in our case, turn up). The CMs were able to find our missing pictures in front of the castle and "put" them on our card (we saw them on there), however when we got home they were missing again. I contacted photopass, and it took a week, but they found our missing pics  I am still trying to decide which ones to buy (definitely the one with Tink in DD2's hand).

How oftern do the coupons pop up?

Over the course of two weeks pondering my order, I saw two different coupons pop up. The last one was for a Fathers Day promotion and you had to order a minimum of $40 in order to use it. Just beware, the pictures supposedly are only availbale for your ordering "30 days after first viewing". Good luck! (P.S. I received my photos in less than 5 days!)

I typed in my photopass number off my card, and it repeatedly said that the number was not valid???? :sad2:

Same thing happened to us - no Jedi Mickey photos !!! Our photos with Chewbacca also disappeared, but there is a mom and little girl with him instead - will have to contact photopass on Monday and see if they can find our missing photos - some of the photos were good - some were not ! Glad I took pics on my own camera also. I also made sure to get a different photopass card each day - I wasn't willing to chance having all of my pics on one card in case they got mixed up.

We used photo pass as an extra form of entertainment. LOL The pictures we took ourselves came out much better!
