Does anyone have a discount code for the Photo Pass CD? Someone posted one last time I was buying a CD, and it was so helpful to save some $$ on it!

check the photopass website for any available discounts. they change every couple of weeks.

I am looking at the photopass website but do not see where I can pre-pruchase the cd. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

For DL they do not run discounts like the do for WDW on the CDs. Is this what you are wondering about?

There is no prepurchase for DLR CDs. They do on occasion have $10 off discounts for when you order after your trip. I've gotten that one twice.

BTW: in case you didn't already know, DLR CDs are $59.95.

I did know that the DL CD's are $59.95. When I bought the last one in January, someone on here had posted a $20 off code for the Disneyland CD. So, not a pre purchase discount, but more of a discount code for pics I already have on the Photopass site...

Thanks for the info. Do I just buy it when I get there or I order after I get home. I am just trying to be prepared. We are going to DL

You'll want to buy it after you get home. No reason to prebuy (I don't believe you even can). Come home, upload, do your edits and then order the CD. I'm going to be ordering a CD soon so I hope there's a discount too!

Don't buy the CD while at DLR. You won't get any enhancements, just the original PP pix.

If you have any questions, just ask! I've done so many CD Shares (when allowed here on the boards) as well as my own that I consider myself almost a PP pro! (One CD I had over 2000 pix on it-needed 5 CDs for that order!:scared1:)

A CD share is when several different parties put thier photos onto a single CD. They share the online account. Then one person pays, the other people pay him/her. And the CD, or the photos once downloaded, are sent to the other people.

I have a question. I was wondering, we have two families going to DL in July. We will have lots of pictures taken together but, some will be alone with individual families (two families going) so we plan on each getting a photopass card. I was hoping to combine the two cards at the end of the trip so we could share each other photos. I know how to upload the pictures from the cards but how can we both upload from our camera's and edit the pictures if we live in different states. Hope you can help.

MartinaC, to share the photopass pictures, you just have ONE family create a disneyphotopass.com account, then put the cards each family has onto that ONE account. Give the username and password to the other family, make sure they only enter it onto that account, and then you can all edit them.

You mention uploading from your camera, don't do that on photopass. Unless you want to pay MORE for the personal photo CD, and really, what's the point? OK I've uploaded a photo there once, thinking I could get all the fun borders and signatures and such, but the borders for personal photos are few, far between, and BORING. No signatures, no really magical borders, just pixie dust and names of parks. Yawn.

The price on PRINTS of personal pictures is nice, though, so if you do have a couple pix you want to have the limited borders on, that's worth it. But to upload your personal pix and then have to BUY a CD of them...not fun.

So for your own personal pictures, I would just create a shutterfly account (suggesting that site b/c I like them, they are easy, and I have several Share pages there b/c they keep giving free prints to make them, LOL) and make a Share page, invite the other family to join that page and give them privileges to add their pix, and it'll be a great way to share, and be able to order, pictures from the other family.

Getting the photopass pictures on the CD is great. Putting personal pix onto the personal pic CD seems like just a waste, to me.

Buying at the park vs buying once home...if you're an avid scrapbooker who does their OWN edits to pictures, and has no need for Disney's borders, you can just order the plain pictures at the parks. It's the same price as ordering online, and when I've looked, they generally throw in a few prints to sweeten the deal. And you have it in hand. But if you don't have your own editing software and like having the fun little borders and such, order online once your trip is done, after adding all the edits your heart desires!

Thank you everyone! Last time we went we did not get that many pictures taken so I just bought the few I wanted at the park. Mostly just a family shot and the ride photos.

Wow, that sounds easier than I was making it out to be in my head! Thank you Bumbershoot. Also, thank you so much for the heads up on the personal pics. I agree with you about not really using the personal ones for boarders and such. So, I will just order the cd with the photopass pic on it. Love all the information on the disboards.

I think that the increased cost of PP is worth it even if you had planned on buying two or three photos at the park. At $15 each, four photos add up to $60! :scared1: Why not spend about the same amount and get all of your pictures on a CD to edit and print at our own leisure, IMO.

And just so everyone knows, on-ride pics cannot be added to your PP account, they must be purchased separately.

At Goofy's Kitchen and Minnie's breakfast, they also offer a pic that can be purchased at the meal, that comes with a code to add that particular pic to your PP account. If you don't buy the pic at the meal, then you cannot add it.

Sign up for their Facebook page. That is where I got my discount.

If you sign up for the PhotoPass Facebook page, it is listed under "Disney's PhotoPass Service." It makes it a little faster to get to it if you type in the exact page listing.

Often times the PhotoPass Facebook page will send out updates or alerts that there is a discount available on the PhotoPass website, or sometimes the PP Facebook page will offer their own PP discount, just for FB members.

The $15 discount that I used to get my CD with photos from my December trip was something I learned about on Facebook. If I had not seen that posting on my News Feed, I wouldn't have been looking at the PP website to notice that they had a $15 discount, and it was only available for a limited time in January. That was a substantial savings, so I capitalized on it. Usually I see discounts of $5, or the discount is for things like photo gifts and not CDs (mugs, magnets, etc.), or it is WDW-exclusive. This was the first time I had seen a $15 discount that I could apply to my DLR-only CD.

Okay, stupid question. I'm a relative FB newbie. I found the page but can't figure out how to sign up? We're going early June and any discount would be awesome. A little help?:goodvibes

Okay, let's see... So you already have an existing Facebook account? If so, and if you found the "Disney's PhotoPass Service" listing, then all you have to do is click the "Like" tab on their page. It used to be "Become a Fan," but they changed it to "Like." Once you click Like, then any news from the FB PhotoPass page should come streaming to your News Feed.

Okay, thanks so much! :goodvibes I kept looking for "become a fan." Any other DL pages I should join?
