Photo package

Do they have photographers out at Castaway Cay?

As was said above, there is a photographer when you disembark that can get a picture of you with the bow of the ship in the background. And we had photos taken near Mount Rustmore with Minnie, there was a photographer roaming the family beach taking posed photos of folks in the water and a photographer walking through the picnic tables at Cookies took a couple photos of our family. The beach photographer wasn't there all day, but I saw him for a bit.

The pictures actually in the water on Castaway Cay were my favorite. That meant I didn't need to keep my phone near by while swimming either. They came up to us, offered to take our pictures and stayed for many poses and groupings before moving on, and since we had already paid for the photo package, we were happy to oblige.

Again, totally subjective. I'm a picture person, so it's $ well spent for me.
Just to give you an idea, on a 3 night with 3 adults & 2 kids we took 77 pictures; 16 different photo ops. This includes Princess and Frozen meet & greet and nightly dinner pics. We only did 2 backdrop pictures. That was for our first cruise. By our 3rd cruise, we were down to 42 pictures for a 3 night. We're doing Panama this April and I've already purchased the USB package.

Thank you! DH reminded me that it is the memories and the pictures are most important to me...Then told me to spend the money...

How does this work? (Sorry if already covered...)

On rare occasions they have gone to the adult beach as well. Hubby and I were lucky to get a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow, but this was about 6 years ago.

Question about the digital photos USB/CD, do these pictures include the themed borders? I hope they are if I am not having any printed on the ship because they are digital.

Yes, the photos on the USB/CD still have the borders.

From what I vaguely remember, on our 7-day cruises on Fantasy the Shutters photographers stop taking photos (even at character meets) some time during the last full day, I assume so that they have time to upload and sort out everyone's pictures. That's kind of a bummer since that last day is usually Castaway Cay day, and I don't carry my good camera to the beach.

They did have several photo spots on Castaway Cay when you get off the ship in the morning, and maybe the earlier character meets at "Mount Rustmore" etc. - does anyone know what the "cutoff" time is when they stop taking professional photos?

On our recent 7-night cruise (Disney Wonder from Galveston) there were many photographers on Castaway Cay! They were stationed by the Christmas decorations just off the ship, at Mount Rustmore, and at the character greetings. They were also walking up and down the beach to take pictures, so we got some great pictures of our family (and one of just DD) in the water. That was neat! (And the only time I'll ever agree to be photographed in a swimsuit because it made my kid happy!)

This is when I LOVE the borders because they cover parts of myself in my swimsuit I'd rather not see! The pictures in the water at Castaway Cay have definitely been some of my favorites on our cruises.

Anyone have issues trying to prepay online for Photopass? I've tried over a dozen times since last Thursday, 2 different banks CC's, calling bank with issues, and still no luck. Most part is I cannot find a phone number to call them to try and process over the phone.

**Got a Visa GC and was able to get it to work!
