photo package questions

I've read in a couple posts where you can purchase a photo package in Shutters. I'm not sure if this is new or we just didn't know about it on our last cruise. Please help me with details on how this works!

When do you have to purchase/commit to/pay for the package?
When do you choose your pictures?
Can you trade photos during the cruise if you find ones you like better?
From what I recall, all the pictures are displayed on those wall racks, but does the Shutters staff occasionally move them around/consolidate them and/or throw them away if they've been there to long?
Is there a place where you can stockpile your own family's pictures and be sure they will be there from day to day?
If you decided on the 5-picture package, but then find 10 gotta-have pictures, can you change packages? (Seems that 10 vs 5 is about a $5 savings.)
I don't recall having a choice of sizes - aren't the pictures already printed in either the 6X8 or 8X10 size? Can you ask to have a picture printed in a different size?
Are the packages all strictly single-size pictures, or are there mix-and-match size options?

Suppposedly the Shutters staff periodically goes throrugh the pictures throws away the ones not picked up. We stacked our together and picked from them during the week. We purchased the smaller package and was told if we decided we wanted more pictures we could bring our receipt back and upgrade to the larger package. I don't know about swaping out pictures. If you stack them together you can start deciding after a few days.

I don't remember is the packages were mix and match sizes

Just got back and will try to answer your questions:

1. When do you have to purchase/commit to/pay for the package? - I bought my package the first day. You will get a little card that they punch for each pic you decide to take

2.When do you choose your pictures? - we went to shutters every nite after dinner. Stacked the ones we liked, tossed the rest.

3.Can you trade photos during the cruise if you find ones you like better? - No, they do not let you trade photos. Just stack them and move them behind the most recent photos. That way you can have a big selection every few days.

4. From what I recall, all the pictures are displayed on those wall racks, but does the Shutters staff occasionally move them around/consolidate them and/or throw them away if they've been there to long? - Yes, they move them down to the next "wall" every couple of days, so be sure to remember what pic you stacked them behind.

6. If you decided on the 5-picture package, but then find 10 gotta-have pictures, can you change packages? (Seems that 10 vs 5 is about a $5 savings.) They only had a 10 or 15 picture package when I was there. They are for the 6 x8's only. The formals (8x 10) are 19.95 and no package for them.

As to No. 6 above - - 8"x10" Packages ARE available. You can ask about the pricing once you are onboard. I don't recall exactly, but they are VERY expensive compared to the 6"x8" packages.

I think we only bought 2 or 3 pics on our 4-day cruise, but I figure on the 7-day there will be many more photo ops. Maybe we'll even brave the line to have a formal photo taken when we are all dressed up!

Shutters does offer a package - - Any 5 for $44.95 (Saves $5), 10 for $84.95 (Saves $15), or 15 for $119.95 (Saves $30). Those prices are for the 6x8 size. An 8x10 package is available, at a much higher price, of course.

We have found that the pictures taken in the parks have a very irritating feature- a large number posted somewhere on the props to help in identifying the group shot. Do the cruise shots have this feature? Are the shots good true photo-prints or are they digital, computer print out?

I just returned from the Wonder on 3/10 and the Shutters staff said we were allowed to trade pics around. We purchased the 10 picture package, took 10 pictures that they had and just traded them around daily. No problems.
