Photo Package for Alaska?

Looking for thoughts on getting the photo package for our upcoming Alaska cruise. We got so many great pictures when we did Star Wars Day at Sea and I also like how the photographers take pictures at Castaway Cay when we've been there, but just not sure if there will be enough special pictures for the Alaska trip to justify the unlimited package. We are planning on doing the Dawes Glacier excursion so that will likely interfere with character photos on deck that day. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

we pre purchased. I think you can get a refund before end of cruise if you don’t like photos. Part of the success is how much effort you make to go to the photo sessions they make available. That and character greetings.

We were first time cruisers and got the photo package for our Alaskan cruise that sailed a month ago. As first time cruisers we did make getting character photos a priority. There were plenty of opportunities to meet them in their different outfits (Formal, Classic, Nautical, Alaskan). They did stay in their Alaskan outfits for a couple of days (after Glacier Day) so there's the chance of having repeat opportunities with those. I really loved the photos we got on Glacier day up on deck 10 that didn't feature any characters. There were photographers stationed and just roaming the deck to take photos of you with the scenery of the mountains and glacier but if you are on the excursion you might miss those photo opps. They also had backdrops every evening in the atrium lobby and some nights (usually the port days) at least one of them would be Alaskan themed but I found those to look too fake so we didn't take too many with those backdrops.
