I know there is a thread somewhere on which restaurants do a photo package, but bear with me and my tempermental computer...

I was wondering which ones do the photo, whether its included in the package or not. I know CRT does, but other than that... I dont.

;)

At Akershus (Princess Storybook Dining) you get the photo package included too, we had the picture taken with Belle :) :wizard:

The photo package at Chef Mickey's is not included, expensive and the photo is not with any of the characters.

Tusker House does a photo to but is not included in the price and there are no characters in the picture they take.
The package costs $31.90 with tax and I believe the Chef Mickey one is the same price.

The Hoop Dee Do Review has a photo package. I think we paid about $25 for a 5x7 and 4 (or maybe 2) wallets.

Lilo & Stitch breakfast at Ohana has a Picture Package, and if you're *really nice* the photographer might even take your pic using your own camera.... and I'm so glad he did as our package pics (read: my pic) came out awful. :wizard:

They do a photo/photo package at Ohana's breakfast too but I don't think it is with characters (can't remember, had so many done at different places). But it is not included, it is extra. Can't remember how much it was.

The Hoop De Doo package is not with the performers. You stand or sit at a display, which includes haybales and a sign that says, "The Hoop De Doo Revue." The photographer was nice to take a picture of us with our own camera. It was just the two of us, but had we been with our families, I think we would have purchased the Disney picture (which turned out very nicely, as it was taken at night).

In general, we do prefer Photopass pictures from the Disney photographers' cameras than those from our Canon camera.

As the PP said, the Akershus (with Belle in the golden dress) and CRT (with Cinderella) pictures were included and were a nice memory of our meals.

These are the ones that I know of:

The places that have photo packages included in the cost of your meal are Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus in Norway at Epcot.

The places that take your photo, but you have to purchase if you like it are Hoop-De-Doo Revue, Ohana's (breakfast only), Chef Mickey's, Tusker House (breakfast only) and Spirit of Aloha.

Over $30 for pics????:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The problem is is that I have such a problem saying no to those. Do they take gift cards to buy them?

We bought our Hoop Dee Doo Revue pics for about $30 too, I think. They did turn out nice. We got a 5 x 7 and four 4 x 6s. They also took our pic at Planet Hollywood and added some special effects, which were cute, but we didn't fork over the money again for those. They were about the same price too. The Akershus Princess dinner came with 2 5 x 7s, both different (we had one with DDs and one with whole family, but I wish I had done DDs separately instead...) and 8 4 x 6s (4 of each pose). That was a pleasant surprise because I didn't know beforehand that they came with it.

Does anyone had a pic they can post from Ohana or Tusker house bfast's? If they are not with characters it probably isn't worth the extra money since we pre purchased the photopass cd already but I'd like to see what they are like so I can plan.

At all of the ones that are extra...you can say no to the picture taking, not just when they bring the pictures around. If we decide we do not want the pictures, we simply do not have them taken. It's easier that way, they do not waste the film, thereby, keeping everyone elses prices down. :)

This is OT, but I thought the pics were all digital and not on film since you are able to see them so soon. If they were film wouldn't they have to be processed and scanned in some way? Just wondering.

Are the restaurant pics. photopass ones that are being taken??

They aren't able to be put right on your photopass card. But, if you buy them the photopass code is on you receipt so that you can put it on your photopass CD if you buy one or if you want to buy additional prints.

Technically yes, although they can only be added to your account if you purchase them. :upsidedow There is a code on the back of the main pic in your package, enter that into your PhotoPass account and all the photos taken of your group will show up! :thumbsup2

Yes, the photos are digital BUT if you already know you don't want to purchase them when you walk in the door, it just makes sense not to have them taken at all. :) Although digital processing is quicker than film, they still have to download the pics, print them out, get them into folders and then wander around the restaurant searching for your party while you dine.

Well there is a handy bit of info! thanks!

I have seen the CM pics. The Tusker House ones, is there a special picture setting, or is it just any place they take the picture?

At TH they take your picture on your way into the restaurant. They have your party pose in front of an African background of some sort. No characters are present.
