My daughter has been given homework by her school to take a photo of herself reading a book in an unusual setting. We are lucky to be going to WDW in August. Can you help me think of a great location to take the picture???:thanks:

What a fun assignment!!

Well, you could do any of the spots in the UK pavillion at Epcot, just for laughs.

Or under the umbrella in the rain at DHS.

Or with a character at any of the character meals;; I bet Mickey Mouse would be happy to look over her shoulder, particularly if the book had his picture in it.

How about on a ride... Dumbo, Aladdin's Carpets, Jungle Cruise, Triceratop Spin, BTMRR, Splash... Or even better use a ride photo to get one of her reading a book on something like Buzz or Test Track.

What about with Belle, since she loves books?

Or, if you have MM, how about on a ride? Splash Mountain would be funny, with their attraction border around the outside, and there would be enough time to bag the book before it got wet.

I would suggest on The Jungle Cruise or maybe Tom Sawyer Island. On TSI she could sit in the chairs along the shore and you could take the picture from the opposite bank with BTMRR in the background. We almost always take a break on those chairs and it's an ideal reading spot right in the middle of MK.

Oh - what a neat idea

what if you took several pictures in idfferent spots *really like the singing in the rain idea in DHS) and then print the one that comes out the best - that way you make sure the picuture comes out the way that you want it to

Question about the requirements for the picture:

Does the teacher have to see the name of the book in the picture? Do they have to do a report on the book as well? Do they have to write a small piece on whey they picked that spot?

If the picture is just a snapshot ... Then I like the ride ideas! If she really has to enjoy the reading moment (and has time while on vacation) ..... I might suggest something that wouldn't require her to only read a sentence! Like.... In one of the many hammocks found at the resorts, on the monorail for a few loops, the magic kingdom train, people mover, or just in front of castle while enjoying a cold drink too! Lastly.... I would choose the spot under the tree if life... It's shady and Would photo great! Maybe the family could go to bugs life while she enjoys a couple chapters!

Good luck! Send us your picture when she's done!

I would definitely do it on a ride. And if you have Memory Maker, she could do it on one of the rides where your photo is included, like Dinosaur or Tower of Terror. Both would be hilarious!
