Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. My family is going to universal for the first time. THe only photo ID I have of my children will be their passports. I'm a little nervous to carry them on me every day at the parks. Do we need to present a picture ID every day? If so I think I will get another ID done for them at the registry of Motor Vehicles. Thanks for your help and looking forward to going!

Neither DS nor us ever had to present photo ID at the turnstiles.....(but we bring our ID in case we don't look 21 ..... :lmao:

photo ids are not necessary for you or your kids. you will be asked to initial the back of your multiday pass, and you will scan your index finger. if the index finger thing doesnt work, the worker will just let you in.

in all the years i have been going to UO, never has a photo ID been required of me for gaining entrance thru the turnstyle

if you are concerned about your child looking older than they are and want to take something to prove their age, that is another story. if you need to buy child tickets that is...

you can always send an email to guest services to ask that question.

i have seen children that appear to be much older than it is claimed to be and never have seen or heard the age questioned when purchasing a child ticket.

Thanks for you help. My son is 12 but looks about 9, I still bought him an adult ticket though and my daughter is 7. I don't think that will be a concern but thanks for providing the info!

I didn't realize that US had a print scanner. I knew Disney started doing this. A photo ID wouldn't be necessary then. Thakns for your help!

I ordered a beer from one of the carts at Universal last week. As I was walking away my son asked me if it was a beer. I said yes. He asked if I was carded and I said no. His reply was you must look really old cause the sign said anyone that looks under 40 will be carded.

I didn't go back to read the sign but...I really do HOPE that wasn't the case! After all the same day I 'tricked" the dude that had to guess my age for a prize! :p
