Hello there. We have bought our Universal 7-day tickets from our local AMA office (AAA, CAA). They told us that we would have to show picture ID each day we use the tickets and that this would apply to our children as well. Since my children are too young to have any picture ID such as a drivers license, etc. are there any ideas as to what to do if we don't want to carry their passports with us? (We'd prefer to keep those in the safe where we are staying). Thanks!

Pfft. We were just down there with the same tickets from CAA here in Toronto. We never had to show ID once.

Just sign the back of the ticket. When you enter the first time, they take your finger scan and that is used for the rest of the trip.

We had to show our ID a couple of times when we entered the parks a few years back, but they never asked for photo ID for our DD. ;)

We also like to leave our passports in the safe - DH and I use our UK driving licences as our photo ID. :)

Thanks for the info. Glad we won't need it for them. I did check the tickets themselves and they say "Photo ID required" but maybe for kids they're not so picky then. Here's hoping... :-)

I think all tickets say that...as long as our finger scan worked they didn't ask for ID. They never asked for the kids just asked them "what's your name?". You shouldn't have any problems....

You might want to take them with you the first day just in case but as the other posters said, you shouldn't have any problems.

before i bought the AP, i would buy the multi day passes.

In all the years i did that, i never was asked for a photo id.

this is the first time i have heard anyone having to show a photo id.

i leave everything in my hotel room but my hotel key and ap.
i charge things back to my room.
i never thought of taking a photo id with me.

the only time i have had to show a photo id was at disney.
my multi day tickets and finger scan did not match up for some reason.
i had to go back to the room and get my photo id in order to use my tickets. that happened twice in the last 2 years for me at disney.

There are no names on the tickets so I don't see why you would need photo ID anyways. The one day, the finger scanner wouldn't work for my son's girlfriend. They never asked for ID, they just rescanned her finger and started fresh again.

There are no names on the tickets. They are the standard tickets that you just have to sign. I can't figure out why they would tell her to bring photo ID unless the finger scans didn't match up. That happened to my son's girlfriend and instead of asking for ID, they just rescanned her finger.
