Photo Gallery CD Thread*MAJOR CHANGE ON PP PRICING WITH WDW & DLR. See post #303-

everywhere. They rotate us around all over the resort :)

Yes, I know. But I also know that some of you have certain areas where you seem to work a lot. My favorite PP photog works at Jedi and Mickey's house a lot. We always try to find him, and one other one, while we are there. They both take great pictures (as I'm sure you do) :)

Yes, it will work.:goodvibes If you upload starting on 11/7 ( you have until 11/8 but why push it) your pictures will expire on 12/7. I would buy the 7 day option on 12/7 giving you until 12/14 to do your edits. If you want more time you could get the 15 extension for $9.95.

Thanks so much for the quick response. I wasn't sure anyone could even follow my question...let alone give me an answer. Looking forward to being in DL for Halloween and Christmas seasons this year!

How fast will the Halloween borders disappear?

I was there from 10/14-10/19 and planned to wait till 11/12 to enter my card code. I really want some halloween borders and hopefully halloween party borders. Will I still have access to them or should I start doing my edits early and just plan on getting an extension for my december pics (if my trip pans out like I want)

One thing I do recommend if you are doing this- stop by before you leave the resort and make sure all of your photos have made it onto your card! Every now and then, a photo wont make it onto someone's card for some reason. If this happens, we are very very good at finding the lost photo, we just need you to come in before you leave the park :)

sure wish I'd known this before. DD's pics where she met Mickey didn't make it onto our pp. :sad1:

Silence, that should work :) (I'm a photopass cast member at DLR and I do the same thing with my personal photopass cards)

Also- someone else asked if you can buy the gallery CD at DCA? Yes, in the Greetings From California shop right by the entrance.

I highly recommend getting the gallery CD option. You get over 300 amazing shots from around the resort, plus by ordering your personal CD online, you get to add all of the fun borders and autographs. Then, when you get your cd, you not only get the fun shots, but your originals as well :)

Ohh THAT is a good point! I have heard of doing this..never had to do it myself as I only get 2 or 3 at a time by myself.. :thumbsup2

Ok so why do we need the gallery cd of photos???

hi, I'm a photopass cast member :)

a single 5X7 is $12.95 in store (but $14.95 online)
the 4X6's come in pairs (but it's the same pose) and it's $14.95
the 8X10 is $16.95

You can also get two 5X7's for 22.95 or three 5x7's for $29.95

Can I buy inside Disneyland park all my pictures taken by CMs on a CD like the Photopass CD?, What is the cost of the CD?. We are from Mexico city and is to expensive send the CD And it is very costly the mailing and the taxes to receive the PhotoPass CD up to our house here in Mexico and we would like to take the CD before we leave the park.

Thanks.

Yes you can buy the CD in the park. I don't have the current price. In the past they have sometimes had a package so to speak, where you get the CD and 2 prints. You just won't have any of the borders/clipart on your CD, but you will get the actual pictures.

You don't really NEED to buy the Gallery CD in the park but if you do you will get a coupon code for your free PhotoCD (online) plus you get free shipping and if you have an AP you'll get the AP discount. All totaled about a savings of $7-8. Plus you get the Disney CD of over 300 professional photos taken in both parks and a few others. Great for your own scrapbooking:goodvibes

However, there is currently a $15 off PhotoCD offer on the website. This exp. though on 10/31/10 (Sunday)

If you haven't ordered yet and it's been less than 30 days you can contact PP through their website and have them try to locate the photos. What usually happens with missing photos is that they are accidentally scanned to someone else card. There is a lost pictures form you can fill out onlline. The more info you provide them (time, location, description of guest, uploading a picture, etc.) the better.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately there's no way to know how long borders will last. :confused3Right now there are only 2 Halloween borders and 1 Halloween party one (not a border, it's a corner icon). I would think that they should still be there on 11/12 but you never know. I heard that the Christmas holidays start on 11/12 so I would expect that right around that date you may see Holiday borders appear around then.

That being said there are still some borders on the site that I'm surprised are still there. Princess and the Frog and UP are still there. I think there's still 3 from P&F. It's been over a year since that movie was out and now there's the new movie, Tangled, coming soon. Also the one from Summer Nightastic still remains.

If you really want to make sure you get the Halloween ones you may have to do the extension to get your Christmas ones as well.

You could contact PP through their website and see if they can tell you.

If you don't but the Gallery CD and get the free coupon code, then use the $15 off CD (CDSAVE15) Your total will be $47.90 inc. shipping.
Exp. 10/31/10

I tested out using both codes, but you can't.;)

Wow, thank you so much for this information!! I had no idea there was anything I could do this far out (pics were taken 9/30). You told me this just in time! I had all the info they asked for, and even a picture file we took from the wings. Even if they don't find it, it made my day that I was able to try! You made my day!!

We both uploaded our first pictures on the same day! I uploaded some from DLR on 10/30 while we were at WDW. I have to order my CD by tomorrow too. BTW, while they are looking for your photos they can usually give you a few more days to order.

Good luck! I just sent a lost pictures request last night for some I noticed are missing from around Rivers of America.

My experience with missing photos has been pretty good. The only ones that they haven't been able to find (and this is rare) is a few of the "magical shots". I believe when there are missing it's more of a technical issue. Photos that are completely missing are usually just scanned to the wrong card. In the past I have had a few mystery families show up on my cards. I'm sure those guests have wondered what happened to their photos.:confused3

Hi and thanks for all the info on this thread! We just got back from DL Monday - wish I would have know about the CD and discount code while we were there - that's a great deal! I've looked at the CD a number of times and thought how cool it would be to have those empty park photos for scrapbooking! Next trip maybe :)

We almost always buy the PP discs - after adding borders and such! It's an awesome program - especially when DH and I are at the parks by ourselves. I do wish they would expand the border/logo/signature options though! At WDW, we've noticed much more extensive options, especially with the signatures. This past trip, we did the Tangled Meet - no borders :( We finally got pics with Jack and Sally from one of our all time favorite movies - and no Nightmare Before Christmas borders :( Mickey's Halloween Party only had the one corner logo mentioned earlier which was surprising. When we did the Pirate and Princess Party at WDW in 08, there were 3-4 borders and a couple logos as well specific to just the party!

I love PP - just wish the border and logo options were better. :yay:

Does the gallery CD include any pictures of Fantasmic or WoC? I would love to have some good photos to scrapbook as mine didn't turn out very good.

No WOC, sorry. It looks like the pictures were all taken last year before WOC. There are 3 from F!. One of Mickey with fireworks shooting out of his hands and 2 of the Columbia (not too close up though)

I totally agree! There are more options for WDW photos and since I've been getting the PhotoCD for the past 4 years I am getting tired of the same old enhancements. I wish they would come up with more.

I was surprised that there were no Tangled ones while the ones from Princess and the Frog are still there. The 2 for Duffy showed up right away, as soon as Duffy hit DCA, but yet nothing from Tangled. I would also like to see a change to the one with Tink. How many of those can one person have? :rotfl2:

Hopefully Disney will develop some new ones and have more PP photogs in the parks. Over the past few years there have been less and less of them as well as less opportunities for magical shots. It's so hard now to get Hook, the ghosts, Darth, etc. If they keep cutting back on things, guests will stop using PP, JMHO ;)

not sure if i have this right...

i buy the pp cd at DL for $60.

they scan and take photos of us...

then i take cd when i get home to walgreens and print/pay for pictures?

i think im lost :confused3

:rotfl: My DH said the exact same thing today!!! That "Where Dreams Come True" Tink logo was my all time favorite overlay - 4 YEARS AGO! I think I used it a tad too much for DH :)

There are certain additions that the photo store on Main Street can do, like add character signatures, and even add animated characters (like hoklding Tinkerbell in your hand, and there are several other characters that can be added, too) Unfortunately, if you by the Photopass CD, those particular additions are not available. I wish those were part of the PP CD.
